Amazing sushi!
The sushi was so fresh and tasty! We tried new sushi rolls and they all were amazing! We recommend the el topo roll.

wait time is 30 mins w/ your reservation!!
Think one star rating is very generous at this point. last month, I had a reservation, when I had 8 ppl coming for my birthday here. couldn't locate my name for reservation when I had even given them my credit card # for the reservation. did not want to make a big scene in front of my friends and sucked up, but this time it got worse. (of course, that night the general manager was no where to be found!) Last night, I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday dinner/ pre-Valentine's day dinner, the hostess Could NOT located my name for the reservation and made me and my bf go to the bar for 10 mins. after she located my name finally-- she asked me to wait another 15 mins to get seated when there were at least 5 empty tables available. When I finally got to speak to the general manager, he wasn't too concerned about my wasted time and the poor service, but he was very confident that the business was good. The food is pretty ok but to wait 30 mins plus to just get seated, I will pass and go to another hip sushi place!

Very expensive for the portion size
The food isn't that bad, but it's very expensive and the portions you get are comically small. It was like a joke, like if I were writing a scene in a movie and I wanted to make my audience laugh by how expensive and pretentious a restaurant was, it would've been exactly like my dinner as Sushisamba. The waitor wasn't friendly and an $18 entree could literally be eaten in one bite.

Expensive and mediocre
Eating here is like eating in a nightclub. It's really loud, the lights are orange, and they wedge you in. There is no space to be comfortable. Our waiter was really pushy, trying to upsell us to the fabulously overpriced tasting menu. The food you get is just mediocre sushi covered in mayonnaise. If you want to hang out in a nightclub, then go hang out in a nightclub, not here. If you want a good meal and the ability to talk to your dining companions without being drowned out by the noise, go to another restaurant.

Too Pricey!!
My friend took me to SS7 Oct of last for birthday dinner but I never realized it was soooo pricey until I treated him for his birthday last week which cost me a whoooping $255 including the tip! Music is too loud, food is not authentic as what I've expected and served in very small portions. My friend's fav place but it's not for me! There are lots of japanese restaurant around that's worth going.

Not so great, definitely NOT worth the price
This restaurant was a huge disappointment. The sushi was so-so -- you can get MUCH better sushi for the same price, or the same quality sushi for half the price. The wait was extremely long -- we had an 8 p.m. reservation and were seated at 9:30. Portions were also small -- we paid $60/person for what I'd deem a snack. Finally, the drinks were over-priced. I paid $8 for a drink, of which 5/6 was ice. I would never go here again.

Don't understand the bad reviews!
We went to SushiSamba last evening. After reading some reviews we were a little worried about going. Food was great, and so was the service. Yes, the prices are very high, but the meal was wonderful. 185 with no dessert is a bit much, but still had a great meal.
