Best Sushi in Washington Heights
I have to say even if Sushi Yu wasn't in my backyard I would make an effort to go there. Its very good, fresh sushi. I've eaten in the restaurant and ordered--both are consistently good. I'm feeling guilty that I don't eat there more but my fiance isn't a sushi fan. If you like sushi there isn't a better place up here.

Yum
We order delivery and have found the prices reasonable and the sushi delicious. Two thumbs up!

My favorite sushi place
I live in Brooklyn, my friend lives in Morningside. I would visit him for this place alone. The traditional rolls are excellent -- fresh fish, perfect rice. The special roles are also good, with interesting combinations. We tried one with kiwi. Surprisingly good. Yes, the restaurant itself is nothing special, but this isn't a fancy evening-out type of place. It's a solid neighborhood joint with some of the best sushi I've had in all of Manhattan or Brooklyn. And it's all really reasonably priced.

Delivery stars!
We love this place for delivery - haven't ever actually been to the restaurant, though we keep saying we will go. The sushi has been a bit disappointing, since it's hit or miss on the freshness (maybe a delivery issue?). The cooked dishes, on the other hand, I love. Teriyaki sauce is a bit odd, definitely not what I'm used to (very thin), but the noodle dishes are fabulous. And the people are super friendly, really accomodating, great delivery.

Good sushi, the rest is average
This is a good looking place, on a good block and always packed with customers. Service is very friendly and prompt. They make quality sushi (esp. Philly and Yu Special rolls), but their hot dishes (katsu curry and teriyaki) are average at best and pricey compared to some other spots downtown where I get better, both in quality and portion, for less. Hope there is some competition coming up in the 'hood as it would push them to create better dishes for their not-so reasonable prices.

A great neightborhood spot
The quality and service is always wonderful and the prices are reasonable. Washington Heights and Inwood need more restaurants of this calibur.
