Overly Surprised for Our Hood!
I ate here once before years ago, but that was before I got into sushi/sashimi. Well, I ordered delivery for the first time tonight. Which, honestly, I was a little worried about due to our neighborhoods lack of good Thai and Indian food, and well, you know, because it raw fish. I was pleasantly surprised. The quality was pretty dang good. Honestly, I have no complaints and I love that they don't tint their ginger pink. The only thing I wish is that there are options with cilantro. Looks like I don't need to head downtown for my eel, tuna, and wasabi fix! Also, the portions are faily huge, especially for the price. I ordered The Crazy Dragon roll and it was 8 giant pieces. The wasabi roll was also 8 large pieces (though not as large) for 12 bucks- the other night I had a wasabi roll in Hells Kitchen that cost $9 and was 4 super tiny pieces...both were of equal quality. Like I said, I was overly surprised at this place. I will definitely be ordering and dining here again, and again, and again.....

I love the Love Boat!
I had a dinner party last night here in Inwood for 4 people. If you want an easy, no cook, no mess, not much cleaning-up after the party, order the Love Boat for 3-4 people. And, as their menu states, get your camera ready. The platter was gorgeous and my guests oohed and aahed (we're talking seasoned NYers here). The sushi was wonderfully fresh and the quantity of food was just right. As suggested I ordered the platter 2-3 hours in advance for an 8pm delivery -- they were on time. When my guests arrived the table was set with tea lights and the Love Boat as centerpiece. Nice. Yes, they do keep raising their prices, but except for the addition of sake and plum wine, my dinner party cost me $25/person. I replaced the included salad with miso soup and added 1 seaweed salad for everyone to chat 'n share before digging into the sushi. And if I factor in that I didn't have to shop, cook or prepare a damn thing -- this was a great deal. A winner. And here I am, a personal chef, still shocked the next day that my kitchen and stove are so clean. And no guilt over not spending hours at the stove just to impress my guests.

Pricy but good!
We always order from this place and sometimes go there, we enjoy the food and the place but what we don't like so much is the prices!

stop increasing your prices
I this place for the most part, they have good food and pleasent service, but their prices are constantly going up. I order or come in maybe once a month and each time the prices are different than they were last time.

Toddlers and Sushi!--so great.
It is about the 100th Friday night in a row that we have ordered dinner from Sushi Yu 2 (We call it Sushi YUM!). My kids: 3, 4, 10, and 14 years old ALL love this place, but even better we all order our favorite sushi, get a mountain of food, spend under $60, and eat like kings for Friday Game/Movie night (Aka: Momma no cook night). Thank you Sushi YUM for making me a "cool mom" week after week after week.

Best Japanese in the Heights
This is the only decent Japanese delivery in the Heights. It's your standard fare Japanese, but then that's a rarity in the Heights, so go for it. To Celiac Girl -- this place has been around for years, so it's hardly new. But otherwise, I agree with everything you said.
