I have never had a disappointing meal at Sushi Yasu. Getting a seat at the sushi bar on the weekend is a challenge which is a testament to the quality and creativity of the food there. Omakase is the way to go and you get a good value for the money. I think it seems like it should be more though, only because everything is so delicious. Marilyn Monroll is a crowd favorite. Chef Yasu prides himself on quality fish and won't serve anything that's mediocre. Uni is also a stand out for me. Staff is attentive, although plan for enough time and enjoy as a crowded sushi bar can force you to enjoy the food at a slower pace.

Kind of starchy, hard rice. The fish unmemorable, generally not tasty. Small portions as compared with what I normally get at any random sushi place. I got take out for the first time tonight. Looking for a good local in Queens. Will stick to my regular. Will not return here, fish was not up to par.
