Hospitable
Very nice atmosphere. Bear in mind the Japanese are very highly mannered people and the ambiance of this restaurant reflects that. Do not go in there looking or behaving like trash. Say please and thank you and make eye contact. Your conscience will compelled you to tip well. I had a lovely time and the food was very well prepared. The fried oysters were delicious and the sake hit the spot. And if you are in there with guests, do not be loud. Manners, manners.

Not recommended
This is absolutely the unappetizing food I have ever eaten. We ordered $35 worth of takeout and threw away $32.50 worth of food. The Pad see yo was just boiled broad noodles mixed with bland chicken; absolutely no sauce and no flavor. The fried bananas was more stewed and soggy than fried. Who messes up Thai Mango salad? There was a drip of dressing on otherwise DRY lettuce. Not only will I never order from this restaurant again, I absolutely deserve a refund.

Food ok/delivery fast
This is the closest sushi spot in my neighborhood so it goes to say that I am a regular. While the sushi is okay, it's not great. I will say however, that it is better than their Thai food. Actually, only get their sushi, everything else is a sugared mess. While I do live around the corner, I have to say, their delivery time is excellent. Service (food prep time) is pretty speedy in the restaurant as well. Other reviewers commented on how rude the servers are...they can be, especially, if you ask questions, or are not as familiar with the menu. Get used to it. I have noticed that they are getting slightly better--perhaps they've read the reviews, but don't go here if you are expecting great service, like most places in the area, you are not going to get it. There are a couple other sushi spots in the area that are much better, but Sushi Tatsu is close, seemingly clean, moderately priced and thus for me convenient.

the waitresses
My family and I went to this restaurant this past summer. The waitresses were so rude we refused to leave them a tip. When we asked a question about the food one waitress actually screwed up her face as if the question was ridiculous. She and the other waitress acted like we were bothering them. The food itself was OK. I would never go there again, nor would I recommend the place.

Really wanted to like this place
I moved here with my toddler a few months ago, and I wanted this to be our "go-to" spot. She loves rice, can eat it every day. First of all, stay away from the "thai" menu - it's unappetizing, full of salt and sugar, and nothing like real thai food. Second of all, the service was always poor. I tried to order a delivery and it was even worse, somehow. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told abruptly that the "manager no speak english" before getting hung up on. Yeegs. I'll find another sit-down restaurant in the hood.

Poor
This is the second time we have eaten here, mainly because we can sit outside with our dog and its 2 blocks away. The first time the food was alright, but this time was a disaster. The food was obviously not fresh, we didn't need to see the boxes out on the curb for recycle reading : "frozen crab" to figure it out. When explaining to management our disappointment, we were argued with and told that we were expected to pay for it all. This place has apparently been open for "2 years", but it is in some serious need of Gordon Ramsey because it was a nightmare!

Fried rice delivery
The most plain dish I have ever had in my life. There wasn't even a pinch of salt in it forget about othe "Thai" spices or pepper or anything else. I had Hawaiian fried rice, my husband had the Coconut fried rice with chicken which tasted exactly the same - the only differences being some extra seafood on mine. Won't be ordering again, shame because it's only a block away.
