Sushi Sennin

The sushi is phenomenal; very fresh and tasty sauce. To-ro is excellent, but very expensive here. This place is very pricey, we spent almost 200 for lunch. But if you are sushi lover, this is a must visit place. The cut is bigger than regular. The service was below than normal, but it was busy lunch.

I came here on recommendation from some city buddies of mine. Of course, After viewing the menu i was surprised by the extensive prices; however, once i tried the food, the prices made absolute sense! Each dish i ordered (including the Spicy tuna and salmon carpaccio crunch, the fire cracker, spicy tuna tartar and a bunch of alacarte fish)was of high quality; the texture and the taste was just beyond what I was used to eating. Nothing was fishy, which I really appreciated. Good quality sashimi is so hard to come by nowadays. Portions were pretty big . I went in December and I can honestly say the holiday decorations were beautiful. Our waiter was certainly attentive but then again it couldve been because the place was pretty slow. He suggested many good dishes which we did order. Overall i would return again.

I have no doubt that they have very fresh fish, good quality and so tasty. The atmosphere was so Chinese version of diner.. The service was poor. Few waiter rush taking the order and leave us alone after he took. No water refill, nothing. He came back only asking the sake refill, hello?? How about my water dude?. The busboy was even worst, just standing and chatting with chefs. Sure, they saw the empty disk and glass in my table. When I asked the water refill, he said "hold on, let me call your waiter". The last suprise I got was 15% service charge because we are (look) like tourist.

I was their regular customer from 34th location. But the price went up everytime. I understand that a dollar before is not the same with a dollar now. But they are speedy on the price. I can't come to Senin anymore. The last time I came with my partner. It was bad experience. Waiter pushed us to buy a plenty things & did not tell us that it is too much foods. They are good salesman. After he took the order, he dissapeared and did not fill up our water. Yes, we did not finish, plenty let over. One surprising thing, service charge for 2 people on the bill. Wow.

Excellent food, best sushi I have had. Many choice of fishes. Make sure you bring your plastic, otherwise you need very thick wallets to carry all cash. The service need improvement, but it is attentive. It is need to be more professional for the price. The decor is unique, classy but it might be perfect without the flag, too contrast. The manager is rude, I complained one thing, but he responded badly. However, the food is excellent. Coming back? Maybe, if I have extra bonus, otherwise, I prefer other sushi place cheaper than Senin.

I definitely fancy this place more than any other restaurant in NYC. It has the freshest tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and etc. I dont know what the people below this review are saying about the service because the service i receive is FABULOUS. every waiter and even the sushi chefs welcome you when you enter the restaurant. Basically what im trying to say is that this place has great sushi! I havent tried the cooked food but im sure theyre all just as great!

It is Japanese fusion place, not authentic as they mentioned so you will find many fusion dishes in the menu. If you are looking good quality sushi, you are in the right place. Fresh fish, tasty sauce. Forget about the service and atmosphere. After few times I have visited, the service were ok, attentive but less professional for the price. I expected high-quality service for my 100 bucks dinner. The menu is very confusing. Too many items and options, so I used to order from the entree and appetizer section instead. Be aware with 'hiding' cost that the server won't tell you. Most of their special are overprice, so I used to ask the price before ordering.
