    Nothing better

This is the best sushi I've ever had in my lifetime. Love the spicy scallop roll, fried oyster pieces, spicy tuna crunch roll and chopped eel and avacado roll. THE BEST HANDS DOWN!

    Are you kidding?

They were gracious enough to seat us without a reservation before the busy time of the night. Everything else was a mess! The sushi deluxe at $28 was not what I have gotten in my local gourmet deli for $9.99. The sushi and seaweed salad were blah ... didn't even make a nice presentation on the plate. In a neighborhood with many good sushi restaurants, I don't know how they make it. Very disapointed as I had read some good reviews.

Whatever it is they're serving is not sushi...

Arrived with reservations, but didn't get our seats until 10min. after our reservation time. Sat at the counter for omakase at $100/person. A waste of great sashimi - drowned in thick sauces continued on sloppy fist-clenched rice that wouldn't even hold its already deformed shape from the dish to the soy sauce. Their creations seem to be catered towards non-sushi lovers that need to drown the flavor of fresh sashimi with sauces or do not realize that sushi is the art of the perfect complement of the rice to the fish. As a true sushi lover, I wouldn't waste my money on any of their "creations" again. I couldn't taste the fish or the rice - those essences were just a vehicle to carry sauces into my mouth. I doubt they can make a proper nigiri. What a disappointment and insult to the art of sushi...

    New Favorite Sushi Restaurant

Out of all the sushi restaurants I have tried in the city, Sushi Seki is at the top of the list. The sushi is amazingly fresh and the service is right on. Try the Maguro Avocado appetizer, delish! I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it!

    perfect.

went here with my sister for my birthday dinner. we sat at the sushi bar and ordered omakase, as you all should! everything was exquisite! I love sushi and am an obsessive foodie, and nothing i've had can even hold a candle to Seki's market choices. Spicy scallop hand roll, otoro, seared salmon, a lite, beautiful fish with barbeque sauce and garlic chips... EVERY SINGLE PIECE brought a smile to my face- i can't remember the last time i had such a perfect meal. free bday desserts, too! if you appreciate melt-in-your mouth slivers of the freshest fish as well as little creative flares that compliment the fish amazingly... well, what else can I say? go to seki. let the chefs feed you. heaven on earth! (and yes, a little pricey, but there's no way that'll keep me from returning)

    Nothing Better

The tastiest, highest quality sushi in all of nyc. I've been to many places around the area, including nobu, koi, morimoto, geisha, etc. Sushi Seki is by far the best around. Its the freshest fish prepared by Seki, the chef trained under the famous Gari. Me and my friends go there day and night. Its a very feel-at-home place, with some ofthe best fish in country. I love everything about it!! Best mayo in the world :)

    perfect evening

Went there with a friend. We were both craving sushi and heard about this place. Got the Omakase and two different types of Sake. We were in heaven. There were a couple of okay pieces but overall the service was great, sake was good, and sushi was excellent.
