What a pleasant surprise!
Wow, to honest I was scared of this place as it's located between 2 underwhelming restaurants which will remain anonymous. Anyhow, stopped by this visually stunning lil place last night and was also wondering why the place was empty. Well let me tell you that everything we ordered was beyond good! We sampled 4 different appetizers and two different entrees and could not be happier. Plus the staff is beyond friendly! Once the neighbors find out how delicious this place is, you will not be able to get your foot through the door!

Delicious neighborhood option in Chelsea
Sushi Mora just opened up in Chelsea. Since me and my fiance love sushi and enjoy trying out new places, we tried it one cold night, after we did a Best Buy, Home Depot, and Whole Foods run. Meaning, we had a TON of stuff in our hands, including melting ice cream (which they kindly stored in their freezer for us) and big wooden planks we bought for a house project (which they didn't mind us leaning up against the wall). We were really floored by their kindness and flexibility. We were a bit apprehensive about the food, but only because we love eating at Aki on W.4th, Ushi Wakamaru, Blue Ribbon, Jewel Bako, Kuruma Zushi, etc. - but Sushi Mora held its own. It's obviously not up to Masa quality, but it is certainly a cut above all the rest of the sushi places in Chelsea. It does well in comparison with Momoya Sushi. A very reliable and delicious neighborhood option. I'll be coming back again, and also ordering again! I'm happy to have a good sushi option in Chelsea.
