Should have read the reviews.
Spent a small fortune for what turned out to be some of the poorest sushi I've ever eaten. Incredibly small portions, over seasoned fish (actually covered with coarse salt!) and slathered with various forms of over seasoned mayonnaise. Starkist wold have been a better choice

Not worth the price
I took my girlfriend here on a date . We have been to different sushi spots all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. The sushi itself was below average but i did like the appetizers and the dessert was exactly the same as any other Japanese restaurant but more expensive and nothing special. So i wouldn't recommend this spot

I've been to alot of sushi restaurants throughout the world but Sushi Mikasa is by far the best place i've ever experienced. The quality of fish is excellent. The presentation is top notch . As you chew each piece of fish its almost orgasmic. Some of my favorite pieces include Salmon w/sauteed tomato, Higachi Toro, Medium Toro, Kampachi Yellowtail, Bonito, Japanese Uni, Monkfish Liver, Whitefish Sauteed, Spicy Tuna Specail Roll and last but not least the Spicy Scallop Handroll. My mouth is watering as im typing this. Definatly a must try!

amazing is an understatement
Sushi miKasa is by far the best sushi in New York. You wouldn't know it when you walk in the door to find a slightly above average decor and a lively atmosphere, but, the experience begins as soon as you sit down. We have been to the best sushi restaurants in NY and nothing compares to miKasa. Priced slightly higher then it's local competitors, it towers in taste and is still cheaper then it's city counterparts. It is not only the tremendous quality of their fish, but the great combinations Kevin puts together in the tasting menu. Unreal is the only word to describe this place!! Some favorites: Tuna with tofu sauce - Salmon with green sauce - Chopped eel and avocado - himachi with jalepano - and the not to be missed, spicy scallop hand roll. So no matter the experience that you're looking for - quick hit and run, a sit down type or even a home delivery, miKasa is the right place for quality. PS. the selection of music playing goes hand in hand with the vibe.
