    let me straighten things out...

    It seems that many reviewers are confusing sushi hana for haru (the one on 3rd ave with the sake bar across the st- haru sake). Sushi hana is a little overpriced- the average rainbow roll is $12; while hana's is $15. The food is good, not excellent. There is a full bar, which is refreshing considering many sushi restaurants only have cheap wine or Japanese beer. Overall the 4 times I have been here.. It is unrealistically empty for a friday night..my theory is that it is due to the abundance of atypical special rolls (I.e. Smoked salmon with mango.. Mozzarella melted over fish??) Or perhaps it is the poor value when comparing price to ratio (special rolls are not very big). Fish is generally fresh, but some items like the pricey toro can be served on the colder side. At best, the spot is better for convenience I'd you live a block away... Otherwise I would skip it. Can you tell I'm a major sushi buff? Trust my advice! -L

    Too expensive

    The menu isnt bad and the sushi is fresh but they are way over priced. You can get the same quality sushi for much less.

    My favorite restaurant

    This place is the best. Great atmosphere. Great menu. The sushi is always fresh. The sashimi salad is great. I've been here many time and have never been disappointed!! After dinner, stop next door at Saki Hana!

    Love love love this place!

    A new local favorite! Sushi was wonderful and service fantastic! Even the brown rice sushi was the perfect consistency. I will definitely be back! Locals...give it a try...it's one of the best in the area!

    Too Loud!

    We love the Chef salad, but the stark decor renders the place too loud.

    ...$5 "On the house" Edamame?

    So my boyfriend and I ate there the other night. After we ordered our dinners (no appetizers) the waitress brought over a bowl of edamame for us to snack on while we waited. Little did we know that when we got the bill she CHARGED us for the edamame when we didnt even ask for them in the first place! Food was okay, but definitly not going back there again. That was unprofessional & flat out wrong.
