The good things the other positive reviews have to say about the service and the atmosphere are true. This place is also perfect for the vegetarian sushi lover, with lots of creative options such as jalapeno and goat cheese maki rolls, vegetarian dragon and rainbow rolls, and delicious portobello mushroom rolls, and whatever else I may have missed! I enjoy finishing off my meals with the plum wine.

I really do like Sushi Edo. The staff are awesome and attentive. However, I must admit that the sushi is mediocre. It hurts me to write this because the staff are so great, and the ambience is inviting. But the truth is the truth. I have been to other sushi restaurants in the city and Sushi Edo pales in comparison. I won't stop going there though. I get a bang for my buck. I usually order the Spider roll and it's not bad. But if you're expecting to be blown out of the water this is not the place.

Nothing compares to EDO. Its the freshest fish and the service is great - I go so much that they they always bring me my apps without me even ordering! If you usually get rolls get the MAKI LUNCH $8. It's two rolls, soup and salad and if its outside of the typical lunch window - they add $2. SUCH a good deal. I used to live 2 blocks away - and have since moved far out of the delivery range. I make a special trip here because it really is the best sushi I've ever had in NYC. Definitely go at least twice a week.

A bunch of friends and I ordered many varities of sushi from here a few weeks ago and every piece was fresh and excelent. Even my friend who is impossible to please about anything admitted that the sushi was really good. I've been back since then since I live 2 blocks away and I have to say I am going to have a hard time finding a reason to go anywhere else for sushi.

This place is best for the tucked away atmosphere it has. The menu has some great options, including their roll combinations which match exotic like Lindsay Lohan matches the description of a cokehead. Stay for the atmosphere and try the food.

I was recommended by a friend, and was disappointed. My other friend and I had two diverse platters of sushi, and the only one that was good was the salmon roll and salmon sashimi. All the others were dry. I did not feel that this place was worth the price. The staff is very nice, and the ambiance inside was very cozy. That was their biggest plus. I will not be going there again unless I hear a miraculous change in the food.

What a find! The salmon sashimi is extremely fresh - always my benchmark for a sushi place! The "house spicy salmon/tuna" isn't particularly spicy but still very tasty. The service is friendly and attentive. Upstairs, out-of-the-way dining makes for a quieter place to sit and have conversation (especially in this crowded neighborhood!). Plus, they have free delivery!
