Why is "extra ginger" so complicated?
I love the sushi. I think the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. But tell me this: Why is it that every time I ask for extra ginger (cause their initial portion is so tiny), they forget to bring it. I even mention: "Please don't forget this time" and guess what, they forget. Now that's annoying.

LOVE Sushi D!
My family and I have been going to Sushi D for years. The sushi is fabulous, the servers are lovely and it's a good value. We love it!

Great Sushi Find!
We had dinner here tonight and it was great! Miso soup was perfect, and I had the avocado/cucumber rolls - awesome! California roll good, but avocado a little overpowering at times. Salmon Cucumber and Tuna rolls are great as well. Good service, the place was packed when we went, but still in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Will go back, and got a menu for delivery!

Best sushi in Fort Greene hands down
We order from Sushi D about once a week for our family. Their sushi is always consistently amazing and always fresh. We have never once thought to order from someone else. In addition they are extremely fast with delivery. The few times we have eaten there the service was very attentive and they like kids. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

They are falling off.
The salmon teriaki isn't nearly as good as it used to be. They might have a new cook who isn't as good. The sushi is still OK though. There aren't many choices for Japaniese food in the area, though, and IMO, it is better than Yamashiro's

Quality Place
Better than adequate, but nothing to inspire too much enthusiasm. If the prices were significantly lower I'd be fully on board. As is, this is the place I end up ordering from most of the time.

Best in the neighborhood
I was so happy to find a good sushi place nearby I nearly cried from joy. Their spicy tuna was excellent, their edamame not too salty, their sake not outrageously expensive... but they don't take credit card (last I checked... maybe things have changed in the past month or two). They have an ATM in the restaurant, but keep it in mind if you don't want to pay an extra withdrawal fee or you want to order in. Price wise, it's a good deal. Personally I think all sushi costs way too much to eat for what it costs to make (which is a pity because it's so addicting), but you get more bang for the buck here than at most sushi joints.
