    Not recommended

We ordered from this place, and agree, the sushi is not fresh, if you are a picky sushi eater, it's best if you dont order late in the day, seems like they make the sushi and shelf it. Gummy, and would not order from here again.

    Best In the Area

I love Japanese food and I'e been to many resturants in NYC and Japan. I'm pretty picky about my fish because I had very very good fish and not so good fish at Jap restaurants. This restaurant is the best in the area. The prices are decent, service was great and the food was good. If you want Jap, dine here because I tried other Jap restaurants in the area and it was horrible.

    Mediocre Sushi

Ordered delivery from here last night. Got an assortement of rolls to share with my wife. We consider ourselves fairly sophisticated sushi eaters, and I can definitely say we will not be ordering from here again. The rolls did not taste fresh at all, but instead tasted gamey. The size of the rolls were all over the board from very small to abnormally big. And the bigger the roll, the more gummy it tasted. We really did not like any one of the rolls that we ordered. My advice is that there are plenty of good sushi houses in Tribeca........go to/order from another one.

    Best Japanese in the area!

I never liked tofu teriyaki until I ordered it here. It's just plain amazing. Tofu is soft inside, fried crust outside, delicious sauce, and they use grilled RED onions. My meat-eating friends love the sushi here, too. Their fave is the spider roll.

    Great Downtown Sushi

As good as Sushi gets in the downtown area. They've recently doubled in size, which leads me to believe, others have come to the same conclusion as me; THIS PLACE IS GREAT. Food is very reasonably priced. Service is excellent and the variety and quality of the Sushi is superb. If you are in the downtown area and looking for a Sushi fix, this is the place.

Great sushi, fresh, very polite service

Order from here - you won't be disappointed. I eat sushi a la kawa at least once a week and sometimes even more and I am not the biggest sushi fan. Try the kawa roll - it is wonderful! The fish is very fresh, they deliver in a timely fashion almost all of the time and they are reasonably priced. It is true that they may be a bit more for some things but they are worth it. The restaurant is also cute if you happen to be passing by but I wouldn't push you to go there rather than ordering in. I hate to hype a place up but they are very good and I am usually the first one to complain about bad food and service since you run in to it often in nyc.
