When people ask me where to get the best Thai Food in NYC, my response is always the same "The best Thai food in the world (literally in the world) is at my mama's kitchen". I am a harsh critic of Thai food. I went to Sura with a friend last night and after my first few bites I told him "This is crazy. This is what Thailand tastes like". We had a few dishes, all that were delicious and all that tasted like Thailand. I am commenting mostly on the food, but the service is great, the feel of the restaurant is wonderful, the management is fantastic and I will definitely frequent Sura often. If you enjoy Thai food, do yourself a flavor and go get a taste of Thailand on Broadway and 101st.

i've been to this place twice now and can't say enough good things about it. the service is top notch, helpful and friendly. the $10 bowl dishes are a total bargain and quite good. i was there last with a friend and we were looking to order a couple of appetizers and the waitress suggested we get the tasting menu, where you order 3 selections of small plates for $12 which turned out to be a good deal. We had that and 2 bowl dishes, the green curry with beef and the garlic black pepper with shrimp (both really good and tasty) and 2 coffees and with tax and tip, each of our share was $24.
