Sura Thai Kitchen

This tiny little Thai place is the best value on the UWS. My friends and I always go for birthdays or girls-night-out, and we only end up paying ~$10 for dinner. Sexy decor with black and chandeliers. Great date place.

I've been partial to Charm for a while, but this place is really good also. The basil chicken with the fried egg on top is fantastic. There are a few things I haven't liked - the scallion pancakes are too oily, the spring rolls too breaded/fried. So far though all the main courses are winners.

I went to Sura for the first time last night with my parents and both sisters. Everything was excellent! We tried a lot of different dishes from the mussels in coconut broth (with chili, red pepper, onions, basil...), shrimp satay (the only dish that was on the small side), chicken satay, coconut sticky rice, virgin spring rolls with plum sauce (YUM!), fried calamari (nice and crispy), and more I can't remember. Then we had the baked taro root custard (with coconut sauce on top) for dessert, and it was sooo delicious! The service was excellent, the place is gorgeously decorated (modern black and white with thai sculptures on the walls), and it wasn't too loud. I saw they have some really inexpensive Happy Hour drink and dinner specials during the week and $8 lunch and brunch specials. I can't wait to go back!

Just ordered delivery from here for the first time. Really excellent flavors, good sized portions, decent prices. The honey duck rice bowl was particularly swell. I will definitely go back.

I happened upon Sura Thai Kitchen when looking for a new place to order delivery. The food is excellent. The service is good and very fast, and the food is obviously freshly prepared. Everything we have ordered is very good. I feel the portions are generous (I ordered a thai iced tea and got a whole container - not just a glass), and the prices really good. We have had the pad thai, summer rolls, green curry beef, red curry chicken, and crispy duck salad (just tried it tonight, very good). All great! I can't eat at some Asian restaurants because of preservatives used in the food, but I have not had a problem with Sura. It is so nice to be able to get a Thai fix:). I can't really rate the atmosphere, because I haven't been in the restaurant, but it looks nice on the website. I highly recommend Sura.

The delivery is consistently good and they have a very nice selection of dishes. We are particularly fond of the tamarind duck and the steak...but really, it's all been good (one night the pad thai was a tad dry)

I love Thai food and this had to be one of the best Thai Food experiences I have ever had. Food is creative and the service is friendly and informative. The prices aren't half bad either!
