    Great Food, Excellent Atmosphere

Went to Supper last night off a tip from my sister and could not have been more satisfied. The food was excellent from start to finish, although three Crostini platters were not quite enough for a party of 7. Unlike others, we were not disappointed by the service. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, drinks were refilled frequently and bread was consistently restocked for the table (we asked at the outset that they do so). Appetizers came quickly but there was a little lag between appetizers and entrees, nothing out of hand though. Best of all was the atmosphere, which was an inviting mix of homely and lively, with charming decor and audible (but in no way distracting or overbearing) music playing throughout. All in all, highly recommended either for a date or a night out with friends.

    It's a shame...

The food is so yummy and affordably priced but unfortunately you have to endure such attitude from the staff. It just ends up not being worth it in the end.

Spinach gnocchi will change your life.

My boyfriend and I come back here again and again just for the spinach gnocchi. I've tried lots, and here's what I thought: rabbit was dry but the polenta that came with it was great, butternut squash ravioli is yummy but the sauce slips off the pasta, the mixed salad is so fresh, the grilled vegetable plate is a wonderful starter, and the green beans and potato pesto is above average. Must go with the gnocchi everytime though. Just wish the wine list had a few more options under $30, even under $25. Service can get spotty on weeknights, but the food makes even moderate sins excusable.

    Always up for Supper...

Since I moved to NY 3 years ago, I have gotten to know the staff at Supper well due to numerous visits. The food is always excellent particularly the Mozzarella/Tomatoes and the Priest Stranglers and the service is second to none. People may complain about the wait but to me this is just an excuse to join Lisa at Supper Bar next door and to catch up on neighbourhood gossip and try the latest fine range of Italian wines. Wade, Josh, Michael and Oscar always take good care of me on the food side and Noa is just darling to look at.. The food is consistently excellent and there really is nowhere else in Manhattan that has such great staff and such a homely atmosphere. Being 4000 miles from London, I have made Supper my second home. Wonderful Italian food, wonderful wine and wonderful people.

    Can't beat it!

The food everytime is amazing. The wine is great and the servers are so friendly. I would recommend this place for a date, and/or friends. It is always a great night when you eat at Supper!

Great Atmosphere, OK Food, Blah Waitress

I have never had an overall bad experience at Supper. The food is always good: never exceptional, but never ever bad or unsatisfying. The salmon is always cooked well and the spinach is tasty. I wish they took credit cards and I also wish they took reservations; the wait can be awful (obviously especially during normal peak meal times). The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. I love either sitting outside or at the dark little tables inside that still feel private even when you're sharing them with strangers. The waitresses have been a little cold and even acted kind of annoyed when questions were asked about particular specials the past few times I've been there, but generally I try not to let bitter wait staff ruin a meal.

    Food was surprisingly below average

After hearing some good reviews of Supper, I was excited to try it out. Wow, the food was below par. I had the pasta with ragu sauce and it was soggy and mushy, completely overcooked.. It was plain tasteless.. The ragu sauce would have been better bought from the supermarket and microwaved and poured on top. It was a disappointment. My friend had the risotto with seafood, which was slightly better, but also extremely mushy.. Completely overrated.
