Get a New Host!
Overall a good experience except for the host. Not sure why they haven't gotten rid of this bozo yet....his mentalityis that he's paying you to eat there!

mediocre food
Even if you ignore the fact that the hostess is as impersonable as humanly possible, the food is only ok as far as east village standards go. Definitely not worth the wait...instead try max or il bagatto - better food and far better service/environment

We love Supper
i love this place. Last night they accomodated a party of 8 without reservation, everyone enjoyed their food as usual...lemon pasta, veal scallopini, butternut squash angolini and everyone loved the liver pate! Thanks Supper! You rock!

at last!
Finally I got to eat here and not wait in line! No wait on a Monday night. The food was great. Traditional Italian, very fresh. Perfect portions. Very cute, romantic feel. I will be back - and on a weeknight!

Cute restaurant, good food
I actually never went in the restaurant, since there are several tables outside. We ordered a few different dishes, and were all pleased. The waiters seemed rushed. Excellent for any meal of the day, brunch is great. Would definitely go back.

Best Thursday Nights!
I've only been to the restaurant a few times because there is a always a wait, but I order in every Thursday. On Thursdays they have a breaded chicken special - it is the BEST I've ever had. It may be overpriced, but it's worth it. Don't knock it til you try it!

Subpar Italian
I went to Supper a few times about 8 years ago and it was delicious- great food and service, nice atmosphere and inexpensive. After a 7-year hiatus I went there last night with a big group and was very dissappointed. The hostess was unfriendly and condescending, the service was subpar and rushed and the food was unappetizing. I had a special, the pappardelle with mushrooms - the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was skimpy and tasteless, probably canned mushrooms. The specials menu doesn't have prices which is very annoying and sketchy. The fennel and montasio cheese salad was flavorless and dry, no dressing or spices. Pretty much all of the bottles on the wine list were $150-400, which is ridiculous for this type of restaurant. The food prices are ok, but still overpriced for the quality and poor service. The waiters were practically shouting at us the whole time and just plain rude.
