A good supper
I've eaten here several times and the service can range from accommodating to indifferent. On a recent Monday night it wasn't too busy and the food, wine and service were great. It's definitely worth a try.

Visit if you're in the area
This wouldn't be a place I'd go if I were in a rush - the service was pretty slow and no one seemed to be in much of a hurry. But if you're looking for a nice relaxing dinner I'd recommend Supper. I went with 2 friends and we sat outside which was very nice. We ordered the Bruschetta which was delicious and we split 3 pasta plates. The waiter was very knowledgeable in explaining what was in each dish (since one of my friends has food allergies) and we settled upon the gnocchi, "priest stranglers", and egg noddles with butter and mint. The gnocchi was by far the best I've ever had and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Do keep in mind they only take cash but there is a Chase bank right down the street which we all had to run to in order to pay. All in all a very good meal in a nice, quieter area of the city. I'll be back!

a waste of time
this restaurant is not worth the time. The wait staff doesn't know the menu and the food is substandard. The dishes are tasteless and unprofessionally executed. The pasta is overcooked and the salads are small and not worth ordering. It is very crowded and noisy and nobody who works there seems to know what they are doing. The bill was outrageously overpriced and for nothing. i will not return. I will spend my money on places that are worth eating in.

Bday Dinner
I went to Supper last Sat night with a large group of 10. We were seated 20 min late for our reservation. We waited 20 minutes to get a waiter's attention to put our drink order in. I ordered the codfish and it was just ok. No taste at all. I tried a few other friend's dishes and they were just ok. For $25 for my entree, I thought it was a waste of money. Out of all of the Italian restaurants in this city, I will not be back to this one.

very so-so
Dishy waitstaff but food that is very mediocre. Chef forgot to put salt in everything we ate. Dishes are nothing special- even you could make a better meal at home. Would not go back. Very ordinary experience. Not worth your time or money.

Wonderful ambiance and food
My husband and I were sat in the lower level. It's like a secret cave -- we were transported out of NYC. We had the Kale Panzanella salad, it was amazing, and then I had The Timely Priest Stranglers. Pasta was flavorful and portion was ample. I will be back. Up there in favorite NYC Italian spots.
