Not sure why other people didn't have good experiences, but we really like Superfine. We've had both brunch and dinner there and it was delicious. I would definitely go back and I recommend it to others. The ingrediants are all fresh and the menu changes daily.

A fine looking place with a great location in Dumbo. That would be the only good thing I can say about this place. When you enter the restaurant, you are bombarded by cranked music. Don't get me wrong, I like music, even loud music ... in a bar. This place is primarily a restaurant yet seems to cater mostly to the bar patrons. The menu is OK and the food is decent, but the prices are silly for what they provide. Forget about ordering a bottle of wine. Very overpriced for the quality. We had an italian white at $40/bottle. The wine arrived pre-opened (suspicious) and was inot tasty; it had not turned, was just a low grade white. We tried another at $45/bottle, same thing. Actually, the 2nd bottle was even worse than the first. My guess is that there marking up the bottles too much. The wine list is weak and overpriced. Service is pleasant if unprofessional. At least three different people asked to clear our plates while we were clearing still eating. If we took a break to breath, they were in there asking for the plates - annoying. Good service is also knowing when not to do anything. In general, this place is charging like mid-priced NY restaurant (think average $22 plate), but the food and service is not up to that range. Other options in the neighbourhood are better.

I have been waiting a while for an opportunity to dine at Superfine. On arrival, we had to wait since they weren't seating for dinner yet. The hostess said we can get a drink at the bar. Since I was with my parents, we only wanted soda and my boyfriend wanted an iced tea. There were two bartenders bopping to the music and not paying attention to us. One bartender seemed to be buddies with a couple down the bar and pouring them drinks, then paid attention to pieces of paper on the bar, then strolled up and down, basically ignoring us for at least five minutes. Finally, she comes over (mind you there's almost nobody at this bar), and mumbles something with a disdainful look. I ask if she has iced tea, and she goes on and on about "I don't know, it's the end of the summer, how much you want to bet there's no iced tea, etc etc etc". Hello i still wanted soda. An was that a yes or a no to the iced tea? We walk away really mad, and soon after are seated. We asked the lovely waitress if there was any iced tea, and she said Sure! WTF! I do have to say all the food at Superfine was delicious, and the waitstaff all very friendly and prompt. We had octopus to start and it was tender and tasty. I had pork chops which was also good but a little on the tough side. The only food pitfall was the plum tart for dessert. Instead of a flaky pastry crust, it tasted like pizza dough. Overall, I reccommend Superfine, but be wary of the bar service.

My husband and I would eat at Superfine every night if we could. They only have their brunch menu posted on this site because their menu changes EVERYDAY which is pretty fun. Since they make everything fresh, the menu reflects what ingredients are in season. We have never had a bad meal there. Def try to make a reservation if you want to be seated right away on the weekend. I love whenever they have clams on the menu, and I have yet to go wrong with any of the fish dishes. This will not be a rushed meal so be prepared.
