The MP reviews and reviews elsewhere set a very high bar for this restaurant's food. Super Taste failed to clear the bar. The steamed dumplings were OK, not great. No matter how good the dough is, the dumpling cannot shine without a noteworthy filling. These dumplings were stuffed with just ordinary pork and scallions. My pork and hand-pulled noodles had no flavor. It was hospital-food bland. Thank heaven for the sambal and other sauces. The noodles were not remarkable either. And the space has as much charm as a rusty old garbage scow. You get what you pay for sometimes.

The steamed pork dumplings are some of the best I have ever had. I didn't get a soup, but definitely will next time as they looked amazing.

Grab any empty seat and the counter girl will come take your order. Order the #1 house special soup that's filled with tender meats of different varieties (tripe, ox tail, tendon etc). Soup and noodles are superb. Can't beat this for only $6.

...there is some of the best spicy beef noodle soup in the city. We tried their hand-pulled noodles and a lamb (non-soup) dish. The lamb was so-so - we'll stick with the noodles next time. The broth was flavorful and spicy and the noodles were nice and chewy. We ordered the beef tendon mixture and the tendon was just perfect (i.e. melt in your mouth). Here's an off the menu tip: we heard someone order and receive a bowl of hand-shaven noodles, and they looked really good. Plan to try them next time.
