    Tasty chinese

Sunny is a good place to go to or order from. My personal favorite is the pork dumplings, though I feel they are a lot better to eat in than to order out. Everything else I've had is just as good for delivery as it is to eat in. My roommate only orders from here for delivery. For eating in, Sunny gives you free wine with your meal. Don't get too excited, I'm pretty sure it is franzia, but it is good for pregaming for a night out. For about $20 with tax and tip, you can get a meal, soup and dumplings, as well as leave the place well prepared for your night. Not for wine snobs, but the food is good enough to simply not drink the free wine and still enjoy it.

    Wok Steady

This crew continues to deliver fresh, tasty, healthy food time and time again. Broccoli that tastes like it, shrimp that look like they just jumped in the boat, etc. It's getting to the point where I am starting to believe the fortunes in the cookies. Note: I am a delivery-only customer; can't speak to atmosphere.

    Great Neighborhood Chinese

Whether you eat in or take out, the food is delicious. I think its the best in the neighborhood. Delivery is quick and the food comes hot. Very highly recommended.

    Not recommended

The food was terrible and they couldn't get my order right. I order wonton soup in which there were 3 tiny wontons with next to no meat and it tasted like they were filled with corn starch. I also ordered pork fried rice with pinneapple and got shrimp and chicken fried rice with no pork. The fried rice was as bland as you could imagine. Fried? The rice was white with no flavor. And to top it off the delivery man pulled the old i can't figure out the door to get me to come down and get it and didn't even have a pen to sign the receipt.

    Sunny delight

Chinese food this good, fresh, and healthy (and available to be brought to your door), is way out of the ordinary for the UES. The woman on the phone was super-polite, easily accommodated some special requests, and said, "I can make that for you." And guess what — it tasted like she went back into the kitchen, and cooked the dish with personal attention. What a delightful change from the consistently mediocre Chinese places in the 'hood. If you haven't ordered from here, it's definitely worth a try. As for me, it's going into speed-dial under "fast and delicious."

    Finally

I have been so frustrated with all the Chinese food restaurants on the UES that I barely order it any more. I was feeling adventurous yesterday and I ordered one of the lunch specials from Sunny after I got a menu in the mail. First, I could not believe the prices. It was half the price of the other places I order from (Noodles 28, Our Place...) and twice the food. And when it came, it was surprisingly fresh and good. The dish tasted like it was definitely made to order (and not premade as I suspect is the practice at other places) with fresh chicken and veggies. Yay! So excited to have decent Chinese again.
