    Great!

Just ordered for delivery a waffle with fresh berries through seamless web and asked for some extra whipped cream. I got an amazing waffle fully covered in fresh great strawberries and a huge side of whipped cream. It was really great, the waffle was soft and delicious and the strawberry were fresh and tasty!! Will def go back!

    Rude

This used to be one of my favorite diners in the area. They have gone downhill over the last 6 months for some reason. I just ordered my usual breakfast with a large orange juice, and when it arrived the oj was spilled all over the bag. When I called to let them know what happened they argued with me and gave me a hard time about replacing the $4 orange juice I purchased. They had me save the bag full of oj and give it back to the delivery man and told me he was going to pay for!? I mean really?? So now you want to make me feel bad on top of it..... These people need some lessons about customer service.

    Unexpected Treat!

After debating where to order dinner for three hours I finally decided on Sunflower diner out of sheer desperation. Such a treat! I had the chicken salad over greek salad with warm pita and it was delicious. It was a huge portion too, so you could easily have leftovers. My friends followed suit and the poor delivery guy ended up coming to my apartment three separate times, but he was so sweet and it was totally worth it! I had a bite of my friend's challah french toast and it was incredible. I am definitely taking my family to this place for breakfast when they come up again to visit. The menu literally has....everything. I've been dreaming about when I will be able to order from them again!

    Rude

Was a regular for years and then had one of the most disappointing experiences ever at Sunflower. To top it off, they were incredibly rude when the half cooked pancakes were served.

    Excellent diner food

I've been going here for years. Omelets and salads are huge and amazing, but I also recently discovered the wraps. I'm not a wrap person, but their tried one last week and I've had 2 others so far. The are filled with stuff and are delicious and come with a choice of fries, caesar or Greek sald. My favorite is the shrimp/bacon/avocado wrap, but the salmon wrap, and the California or was it Cobb wrap (chicken and avocado) come in a close 2nd. Also, for tasty "plain" food, the grilled (not roast) chicken is excellent, but takes a bit more time). The only cons are: the soups have gone downhill, and they've replaced the great homefries (with omelets) for pre-packaged hash browns which are greasy and not good unless well done. The eggs a la sunflower are great!

    Attitude with your delivery

Be prepared to have a large side order of surliness delivered with your order. They employ one or two pleasant/civil delivery people, but the majority will thrust your order at you silently, apparently resentful that they had to travel two blocks with your food, and that you would have the audacity to do business with their employer, in addition to TIPPING them (and don't think that the time of day, weather conditions, or generosity of your gratuity will make any difference).

Could not wait to get outta there!

A little lunch on Sunday afternoon - picked the wrong place. TVs on music blaring you could hardly hear yourself think. Waiters all running running around doing what I don't know but ignoring you if you needed help. Took way too long for cheeseburgers which were so dry and tasteless. Don't know what the 'attitude' is all about since it's just a diner and there are thousands of good ones in NYC. Never again at this place.
