Best Cafe in NYC
Been going to Sunburst for many years now. Haven't been able to find any place better. Great selection for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Those Fruit Crisps they make are phenomenal too.

Variable quality
Mostly good food and service; however, the quality of takeout is inconsistent. I have gone there many times and have come out with a) wrong orders filled (ex., dark instead of white chocolate milk) , b) incomplete orders (ie, soup w/out croutons, and cheese and b) bland versions of usually-flavorful coffee. Only the quality of the food when they do get my orders right keeps me going.

Best Hot Chocolate... For Real!
Been going to Sunburst for the 3 years I have lived in the neighborhood... yes... it can be chaotic in there, but the staff will always treat you well, and when your order comes its always worth it. I am a hot chocolate whore, I have sampled many a steaming coco on this island, and Sunburst consistantly makes the best cup as far as my tastebuds are concerned. Its really great stuff, and in the summer get it over ice... From breakfast, to soup, to baked goods, I feel like someone is taking care to feed me when I go to sunburst, its just good tasty decently priced food, and yes it can be a little wild in there, but to companstate for it the staff behind the counter consistantly bust their butts for you.... just try the coco... just try it.

Good & Convenient
Best to go to in the nice weather, when you can sit outside. The place is a little confusing to first time visitors. It's not as though you sit down and are served. You have to order your meal from the counter inside, pay, take your seat, and then the waitstaff brings the meal to you. It's always been busy when I went, so I was always a little nervous that they wouldn't know that I went to sit outside. I've had the pancakes, they're good and they're a meal in themselves. I usually find that I'm full until dinner at least when I get them in the morning. I had a wrap last August 14th which was also quite good when they were handling a large, hungry crowd during last year's blackout. I only gave their service a 4.0 due to the fact that you're really on your own when you first show up. The atmosphere also gets a 4.0 because it tends to be too crowded at times, especially for the desirable outdoor seating on the side (in the summer only, of course).
