Good quality, Big portions, Great value
I go here (or get take out) 1-2x a week for lunch and am never disappointed. The rolls are HUGE (8 large pieces each) and $8 for 2 of them plus soup or salad is the best deal around. They have a great variety of types of fish and non-sushi menu items. Service is quick for dine in and take out orders are ready within 10 minutes of ordering.

Great place to start your night
Try the Chef's Specialty Rolls the Salmon Z roll is spectacular. I also enjoy the New Roll. I go there for the sushi and I for the all you can drink hot sake. As I said a great place to start your night off with good food and an affordable buzz.

not my favorite
Only ate once here. I had pick-up. All I remember is that horrible "fried" smell that was really strong. Food was bland, too fried (which explains the smell) and it tasted strange. I don't believe in bashing others - but this place needs improve.

Some ok, some bad
I have ordered age tofu (or agedashi tofu) from every Japenese restraunt I've ever been to (NYC and elsewear). I've tried it more than once, and its just not good. Nothing else was extremely memorable. I have two requirements for my Japenese food, the tofu and goyza, and neither were great. The sushi rolls were fine. This place just isn't my first choice.

Great Find in Tribeca
I don't order sushi for delivery so I can't say what that is like but this is the best great find for sushi for the fish/value and friendly staff to eat in in Tribeca. I try to come here at least once a week. Their hot dinners are great as well. Tuna tataki app is the best in the city. Highly recommend.

Excellent Delivery
I rarely write reviews, but I am extremely confused at how anyone who lives in NYC could not find Sun Cafe to have excellent delivery sushi at great prices, particularly for lunch. I have ordered delivery sushi from numerous restaurants in NYC in various neighborhoods and Sun Cafe is by far the best. It is fresh, fast, affordable and service is great. The portions are huge. While maybe it is not the same as sushi dinner on site at one of the city's best restaurants, I find it to be superior to many restaurants. Reading negative reviews it's hard to imagine that people are talking about the same place.

Disappointing Sushi
I'm not really even sure how to start this review except by saying that this was the poorerst sushi I've ever had. I had gotten two specialty rolls that were so overladen with different ingredients that it was physically impossible to eat in one bite. The sushi was poorly put together and kept falling apart. The rice was dry and coming apart, and the combinations were not good- it seemed like they had mashed as many things together as possible hoping something would taste alright. Maybe this was because I had it delivered but, excuses aside, a really poor choice for sushi.
