    just another cupcake?

The best cupcake I've found so far! (The lemon is the best!) Service isn't anything different then most places in the city...

    Lack of Basic Manners

There were a good amount of people when I went in to buy half a dozen cupcakes. For someone who has never been there, it can be a little over-whelming esp since there are people crowding around the front display of cupcakes. So it would only be natural for someone who can't see the front display to ask the servers behind the display what kind of cupcakes there are, what kind of icing, etc. I was served by a punk who had no manners whatsoever. Didn't even seem like he wanted to be working. Basically, he told me that the different descriptions of each cupcake was on the front display... which obviously was covered by people if he only glanced. I would not buy cupcakes from this place again. Yes the cupcakes were good and sweet and full of sunshine goodness... but the service was horrendous. I would not go there again

    very tasty cupcakes!

I had to find a cupcake place at the last minute for a managers birthday and i googled "cupcake new york" and this wonderful place came up. The cupcakes are VERY reasonably priced. The place was very cozy and it smelled wonderful inside. My friend ordered a cold mocha coffee and even that was made with extra special care. So i ordered 3 dozen (4 of each flavor) and they were a hit! I ate a sunshine cupcake and i was very happy with it. The frosting had a creamy sweetness while the cake had a hint of saltiness which made a perfect blend in my mouth. Very creamy and very moist! I am definetly going back! ( I actually bought some extra to take home with me to share with the fam) Very exciting!

    No Good

I tried several different kinds of their cupcakes and gave a bunch to my brother. I tried to tell him it was Magnolia because I was to lazy to go there or Crumbs. He never believed me, nor would anyone else. The cake was dry and not good. I thought living nearby would be tough to walk past everyday, but since trying them I've never been back since.

don't listen to the bad reviews!

I really can't understand where people are getting the notion of "rude" service from. Every time I have gone there, the service has been just fine. I think it's one of those things where if you are nice to them, they are nice to you. As far as the cupcakes, I personally think they're fantastic. The cake is moist, the icing is just right. The pumpkin cupcakes are the best! Also try the Banana Pudding if you can tear yourself away from the cupcakes!

    Rude service

Frankly, with the number of bakeries in this city, I never plan to return to this bakery. It was appauling. I like the icing on their cakes, however the cakes is never moist and I end up throwing an icing-less cake in the garbage.

    Ehhhh

After all the hype about the cupcakes at Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery, I decided to pick up a couple for my sister's birthday and use them in a cupcake tower sort of thing. They were pleasing to look at, but the taste was another story. Not only were they too sweet, but the inside was too dry. I don't know about you, but I like a moist cupcake that doesn't leave me wanting to drink a gallon of milk (okay, I'm exaggerating a little). On the flip side, the people there were very friendly and welcoming.
