Yummy Strawberry Shortcake!
I ordered the strawberry shortcake cake from here and it was just what I had dreamt it would be - soft, light sponge cake, fresh strawberries and the lghtest , fluffiest whipped cream ever. It was easily one of the best cakes I have eaten. I only wish there were more strawberries, but other than that, it was absolutely DELISH. I have to say though, the man at the counter was damn right condescending. I just requested for a piece of paper to write inscription so that the spelling is correct, and he was like, "why? is it a different language?" c'mon dude, it wouldn't hurt to be polite to your customers. anyway, I am ready to face some rude behavior for the yummy cakes here. They are pricey though - the 9" strawberry shortcake is $44 with inscription. But I guess all other bakeries in the city are in the same price range, if not more expensive. I am definitely going there again!

These cupcakes are dynamite. They are the best in the city. If I didn't have any restrain, I would slam a dozen of them in a night. Delish :)

Really just NOT the best place.
Got two cupcakes and black coffee, which I was excited about. The coffee was EH, and the cupcakes were overly sweet and too dry for my taste. (Hence the name, I suppose.) The best part was that the counter girl was completely RUDE the entire time- the hours aren't on the door, so apparently when we walked in, it was closing time. She barked "WE'RE CLOSING SOON" and just held the door open with her arms crossed and glared at us as soon as we sat down to eat our cupcakes/drink coffee. (Why then, did the register person ask "for HERE or to go"???) Nice. Sooooo happy to have spent my dollar here.

Sugar Sweet Delicious-ness!
Sassy Red Velvet is my favorite, but all the flavors are worth trying. The atmospshere is comfortable and there's plenty to look at, including their "reasons to buy a cupcake" chalk board outside. Definately hit up Sugar Sweet!

Best cupcakes in the city
I have been to Magnolia, Buttercup, Crumbs and Sugar Sweet Sunshine. And hands down Sugar Sweet Sunshine is the best. Never a long line most of the time no line at all. I have ordered two cakes both were amazing! Icing is just right and the cupcakes are always moist and fresh! This place is a gem. You can actually sit and eat your cupcake if you want and there are a ton of choices and nobody breathing down your neck making you feel like you have to leave. I will only stay on the LES when I go to the city so I can eat as many cupcakes as I want from here and enjoy the other local establishments.

Cute Girls and Awesome food = sunshine
I am a regular and this place is the bomb! The cupcakes are the best in NYC! But, it is not just the awesome sweets that keeps me coming back for more everyday. The staff is the greatest! They are always friendly and they have got some amazingly hot girls working there! I don't know whether to stare at the eye candy or the real candy...
