Great for dessert
I have only had dessert there, but i went twice in two weeks... so I think that says a lot. The portions are big enough to share. I would recommend getting a brownie with salted carmel ice cream! I tried my friends S'more sundae and didn't exactly love it.

Food is not so great
Have not tried the desserts, but the savory food was not great. Tried the burger, Mac and cheese and hot dog. Definitely not worth the price. They were bland and boring.

Fun, with many treats to choose from
Stopped in for dessert and was impressed with the generous sundaes we were served. The atmosphere is a bit suburban and the space is bigger than it needs to be, but it's quite a nice addition to the UWS. Service was attentive and helpful. Sparkling clean. Looking forward to coming back for the brunch. Welcome S&P, your restaurant enhances the neighborhood.

Not for dinner
Food quality is slightly above average, but not exceptional. The menu "reads" better than it "tastes". However, the lemon ricotta pancakes and the pulled pork waffles were pleasant enough. BUT ... the place has all the ambience (and acoustics) of a train station lunch room ... especially when the UWS mommies wheel in the strollers. OK for lunch or a mid-morning breakfast, but not special enough for dinner.

Great brunch
I have been watching sugar & plumm being built and finally tried it when it opened. I went with 2 friends for brunch and we all enjoyed our meals. The lemon ricotta pancakes are delicious and the chicken and waffles are very tasty too. Some things to note are that there is no bread basket given and also egg dishes do not come with a side. As a side dish we ordered the potatoes which were very tasty. The bakery looks great and you can order milkshakes, waffles, coffee and crepes to go. Great new addition to the neighborhood!
