Pretty good!
I feel like I have to review this place because we literally order every week. The veggies are fresh and the food is definitely above average for Thai delivery. Best things on the menu: -Hot Pot Dumplings-- amazing!! -Tom Ka soup- very, very good -Crispy Tofu -Thai Salad, fresh and large -Pad See Ewe, pretty good Not Great: -The beef! -Sautees are okay nothing special

The best Thai in NY
Great, tasty, top notch Thai in Brooklyn. I've ordered delivery 3 times from this restaurant and each time the food has been delicious with great, quick delivery. I would go so far to rate this place the best Thai in NY! Give it a try.

Poorest Thai I've ever had! Bland!
I never review places, only read reviews- this was so disappointing, I had to write one. Ordered delivery: was put on hold every 15 seconds. Food is extremely bland with zero effort and love. Summer rolls w raw unseasoned tofu + 80% shredded iceberg with a side of processed Jiffy peanutbutter dipping sauce. Sauteed eggplant w tofu: tofu raw again-ok fine. but otherwise was filled with basically RAW and largely cut white onions + bell peppers, a few pieces of eggplant, a couple basil leaves and a watery "red chili" sauce. got "medium heat" no flavor in this, just heat. Also received no chopsticks, cutlery, napkins, etc- i ordered this to be delivered to my office where i have none of these. so that sucked. probably the most unappetizing Thai food i've ever had. plus it's more expensive than other thai places in the area!

Not very good
I ordered delivery- and the food arrived pretty fast, but it was disappointing. The "crispy" calamari was limp and soggy and completely bereft of flavor. The pad thai was greasy and pedestrian. I asked for "extra spicy" and their solution was to include a dixie cup of hot sauce. Pad thai is a simple dish, but I do expect it to have some flavor and spice. This plate simply did not. The food is very inexpensive, but for what you get, I'd say it is not worth it. Siam Orchid is comparably priced and much better. Williamsburg cannot really compete with Manhattan's ethnic cuisines, but Sugar Beets Thai is not up to snuff when judged by neighborhood standards. I will admit that they have chosen a cute name for the restaurant though.....

Good new thai in s. williamsburg
ordered takeout. while i was waiting they gave us free thai iced tea, and threw in 2 free orders of spring rolls with our (admittedly large) order. everyone was really happy with their food. not the cheapest thai in the neighborhood, but overall a very good value.

terrific thai
Ordered takeout from Sugar Beets 4 times since it opened in September (2010). It's definitely cheaper, and possibly better, than other thai spots in the area. Extremely friendly staff. They always give me a free soda. They have a large dining room, which is immaculate. Nice design and decor.

wonderful thai food
I've eaten here once, and ordered delivery 4 or 5 times. Each time the food is fresh and tasty, no need to worry when the pad thai was originally made and having to suffer through poorly re-heated congealed noodles. Love it. Try it.
