    Good food, poor service

The selection of sandwiches, wraps, and salads is great - the salads are really good. And the interior is clean and well-designed. But the service can be poor. It is better at the new location on Broadway, but I find they are still often rude. Also, if I order a custom wrap at night, they will sometimes say they only make custom wraps during the day - which I don't understand. They've never refused when I order over the phone though. Good value so I tolerate the service.

    Always short on something.

I enjoy subsconcious and get delivery from them often. The food is decent for the price, sort of. But the real problem comes from a consistent inability to fill an order. It seems every time I place an order I get a call twenty minutes later with an explanation of whatever items they don't have. If I order fish and chips with a coke, two times out of three they're out of fries. And if they have fries, you can bet they're out of fish. You order a Coke, all they have is Sprite. And the staff seems fairly indifferent to making sure you get what you want in replacement. So not bad, but be prepared for a hassle.

    a decent value inbetween/after class.

Since I'm a CU student I'm at subconcious regularly. The sandwhiches are generally well done. I highly recommend the steak&cheese (although the guy smothers a ton of mayo on top of cheese--which makes you worry a little) but the taste is great!

    Delivery not recommended

This pertains to the Subsconscious on 109th St. On three separate occaisions the delivery to my apartment (3 blocks away) has taken in excess of 2 hours. I felt the first two times it was an aberration, but it seems to be the norm. The food is good, but that kind of service is unacceptable.

    Wow

What an amazing transformation from last year. I love going to the new subsconscious deli. There is so much to choose from that I have a hard time deciding. From the new salads, gourmet foods, signature sandwiches, and the amazing bakery/dessert selection, I have to say that everything is really good! Besides the great food, the change in atomosphere is really impressive. The environment is clean, the staff is friendly and you can even hear some nice cool music while you wait. The best part is that I hear they are opening a second location over on Broadway. Keep it up!
