Nothing special...I asked the 4 guys waiting to take my order that I wanted a CC blue with peppers. I got the sandwhich without peppers, and it was not tasty at all. The quality was lacking for the $8+ sandwich. No seating and my coke zero bottle was frozen. Turn you refrigerator temp up, please. I will be going back but only because I bought 2 groupons...

The food was great, the price is slightly high. Service is poor. Takes a long time to take orders.

I eat here a few times per month because I live near the store. The food is decent, but the service is poor. I never get a "hello, bye, thank you," etc., from the workers, and nobody seems to have decent manners. The workers here could take a tip or two from the workers at the pizza shop right next door. It is such a contrast.

The girls there are the best and the workers always aim to please...I have never been to the lower manhattan one...but the one on 140 is the best........

I will never eat or purchase anything from SUBconcious again. Everyone who works in there is rude. I came in during my lunch break, 6 wokers looked at me as if they had no idea what I was coming in for. So I said to the cashier "Excuse me. I would like to place an order". She gives me a dirty look and says, "Did you alraedy order? I dont take orders". So I place my order with the cook. After I paid, the worker didnt even put my sandwich in a bag, I had to ask her for one.

The food is very good for the price but the service is poor. The people at the checkout counter take delivery orders and they are shockingly rude in person and on the phone. Like others on this site, I have had incorrect orders, cold food, long delays, and constant bad treatment and I finally gave up after many chances. Once they wrote my phone number down wrong and then when I called to see where my food was they were going to charge me double to send a new food order even though it was their fault. When I tried to complain to a manager she said it was not her problem and kept calling me honey. There is no customer service ethic from top to bottom at this place. I won't give Subsconscious another dime though.

In a nutshell: the sandwiches are decent, maybe slightly better quality than neighboring store's. But the prices are higher, the wait is much longer, and the service is quite bad. If you live on Amsterdam around Columbia, you really don't have many options though.
