Delicious Food & Worth The Trip

Went this past weekend and what a treat! Our waitress was so nice and totally knew the menu. Unlike other restaurants where they give you some run around answer, she really cared about what we were ordering. Went for the meatballs, rice balls, crostini and the shrimp - YUMMY! And for dinner had the tagliolini and steak. The steak had this spicy oil on it which made it so tasty and different. For dessert, we had some kind of olive oil sponge cake thing which was by far the best cake i ever ate. I actually asked if we could buy one and take it home but you cant. Def worth the trip and fun with a group too!

    Delicious Food

All of the dishes are fantastic, particularly the pastas (gnocchi and ESPECIALLY the tagliolini). The stuzzichini are a pleasure, even the crostini, which, by nature, sound pedestrian but are made interesting and delicious here. If you're going out for a night on the town and really want to make an impression on whoever you're with, the service here might leave you disappointed and detract from your dining experience. If your only concern is a delicious meal, you can't go wrong here.

    Good value

Great wine list. Good for quick small bites. The rice balls are the best you can ever have.

    Very disappointing experience :(

Went here for a friend's going away dinner, and after the waiter insulted her on her choice to move to Boston (I believe "Ew, Boston sucks" were his exact words), we were all disappointed in the food. This place had been recommended to me by a few people- but I cannot understand why. The food was overpriced and lackluster. The plates were not even garnished. The small plates were a little better, but not enough to make up for the subpar main courses. The wine and atmosphere were good- so maybe try this as a happy hour spot ONLY.

    Antipasta only please

This place is good to go if you are large group and want to sample the appetizers and drink some wine. Main courses were average. Desserts lackluster. The place is pretty but there are better places in the city to venture.

Great food, but a little snotty

I thought the food was great, but the host was not the nicest guy. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrived 5 minutes early with my parents. I asked if we could be seated without our 5th guest, and the guy gave me a hard time. The place was half empty, so I asked again, and he relented. I just think that it's silly to make people wait to sit when they have a reservation. We are obviously all coming if 4 out of 5 of us are there. Then at the end of the night the coat check boy lost one of my friend's recently purchased gloves. She had to go to the coat check room and find them herself. The service isn't perfect, but the food was really great.

    Love Love Loved it

I took some friends from out of town to Bar Stuzzichini on Friday night and everyone couldn't stop raving about how good it was. We ordered the misti of small plates (fried artichokes, the pizza rustica, prosciutto de parma, arancini and meatballs). The only one I wouldn't order again is the pizza, but the rest were phenomenal. Then we moved onto pastas and tried the gnocchi amatriciana and the taglioini alla limone. The pastas were even better than the stuzzichini, which I didn't think would be possible. The lemon chicken secondi was fine and the grilled tuna was probably my least favorite thing on the menu, but that wouldn't stop me from going back in a heartbeat. This is by far my new favorite casual Italian restaurant in the city.
