What can I say that hasn't already been said? This is the best steakhouse in the City, hands down. And that is what we call a "truism." Only the disgruntled owner of another steakhouse masquerading around as an anonymous MenuPages user could disagree. When you are paying this much money to eat a steak, eat the best steak in one of the most enjoyable and fun spaces in Manhattan -- the Strip House.

The 20 oz. strip steak was absolutely delicious. Could simply be the best strip steak in the city. The sides were not what they are hyped to be. They were ok but small in portion size. No one compares when it comes to Lugers for sides (as well as their porterhouse cut). Also, I found the wine list selection to be overpriced. Atmosphere was very good. I would definitely say this is a place to bring a steak eating date as opposed to Lugers ... for atmosphere. I also love Sparks Steakhouse NY Strip. However, after eating the 20 oz. Strip at the Strip House, I've now found a new favorite.

As one who eats out 6 night s a week ,this restauant turned out to be one of the best new dining experieces I have had and now joins my short list of guaranteed perfect evenings. The atmosephere is very comfortable, the service is way above average, and the food is exceptional. The desserts are incedible and give you something to talk about. It is a bit pricey, but I guess you have to accept the fact that you get what you pay for.

I am VERY picky about my food. I have gone as far as returning dishes after ordering numerous times. However I have to say, this is the best steak ever! My favorite is T-Bone, hands down, best by far. It is expensive however the quality of food, the ambiance and service makes it worth it and wanting to come back for more

I am in sales, and dine clients in Manhattan, and have been doing so for years. I have been in almost every steak venue in Manhattan, the Strip House is the best, way above the competition. We had the lobster bisque, and my friend (from Maine) even admitted it was the best he has ever had. The NY Strip, lightly salted, tender inside, cooked to perfection and my requested med-rare request. We had a 1999 Banfi, and a cheesecake the size of a football that was terrific. I have read complaints about waits. If you have to wait 20 minutes to for the caliber of venue like the Strip House, suck it up.

Constantly over-booked. Had a reservation at 8:00, didn't get seated until 9:15. Yes, we were bought a round of drinks for the wait, but that is out-of-hand. The steak is by far the best, but nothing else really threw me. How long are you willing to wait?

Sure we had a reservation at 8 and didn't get seated till 8:40 but the food was well worth the wait! We started w/ the shrimp cocktail which was delicious and easily shared by two. We then had a shooter of tomato soup complements of the chef which was extremely tasty...wish they'd put it on the menu as a starter. Then my husband and I both had the strip, phenomenal....the best steak I've had in the city. Wish I'd tried a different sauce though, the bordelaise wasn't that great. We split the creamed spinach and goose fat potatoes....both very good. Ended w/ the 11 layer chocolate cake that was huge....could have easily been shared by 4 or 5 people. Extremely rich, we had to get a glass of milk to go w/ it! All in all a great dining experience, just be prepared to drop some serious cash!
