We had reservations for 2 at 8:00. I think I even got two phone calls over the weekend to confirm our Tuesday night plans. Unfortunately, when we walked in the door at 7:55, our host actually said "We'll let you know when your table is ready." at 8:29, it was. We asked our waiter later "Are you unusually busy for a Tuesday night?" to which he replied "No, we're usually about this busy." So, they continually overbook their restaurant. I would have left there an hour and a half later annoyed, if I did not have one of the greatest steak dinners of my LIFE. They started us with a lovely basket of bread & silky butter. We ordered the JUMBO shrimp appetizer. They split it for two, and designed each plate deliciously. Perfect. Then, they gave us a cold peachy shot of sherbert to "clean the palate". Exquisit! We each ordered the fileg minon, one with stilton the other with bernaise. It was so delicious I thought I might actually climb up on my table and start to sing. The chocolate cake was laughably giant, I think we counted 14 layers! And it was frosty, creamy and out of this world. I WILL eat there again.... after a few more paychecks, of course.

That dern steak was so good I nearly did a backflip. You couldn't find a choicer cut anywhere in America. The atmosphere was fantastic and I really love experiencing it with all my good friends from work.

We had dinner on a Friday Night, Our table was not ready yet and we waited for 20 min and we had some concerns, until we sat down at the table. Our female waitress was unreal, best service we ever had in the world. From start to finish. She gave us an incredible expierence. She recommended us the Rib Chop, Creamed Spinach, Banana Tart. It was like she was reading our mind. Food & Service highly recommended. We are going back for sure.

A steakhouse any meatlover must get to. Best steak dinner I've had in Manhattan yet. Great atmosphere, service and food, from appetizers down to the enormous chocolate cake.

Had dinner at Strip House on December 27 with out of town guest. The service was very good. The waiters were attentive and helpful with selections. The steaks as well as the sides were delicous - and the desserts were fabulous. I would definitely go back again. Far better than many of the other New York steak houses.

Had a fabulous dinner at the Strip House last night. The steaks (strip and rib-eye) and sides (goose-fat potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms) were wonderful, the chocolate cake was to die for, and the service was perfect. I'll give Lugers one more try, but Strip House may be my new favorite steak house.

Strip House has great food and a cool scene. This is not your typical New York steak house. Service was very attentive and the food was wonderful!
