Strip House Midtown

I tend to find that steakhouses can be very similar - the menus all seem to offer the same steaks and many of the same sides. However, the Strip House is different - in the best way! The steaks are prepared using a black pepper (and some other delicious spices) rub, and this sets the steaks apart. The brussels sprouts side was fantastic, and the banana tart was also unique and delicious. The server, Jessica, was also a plus - she knew the menu and was super attentive to our needs. I definitely recommend the Strip House!

Cozy, a little tight but the waiter made great suggestions and was spot on with them all. Even threw in a piece of cheesecake on the house with my espresso. Steak cooked to perfection. I said med/rare and it came out med/rare, not still mooing like at some places.

I thought the service, food and ambiance was very nice. Pricey but honestly expected. Overall great place to eat. Will go back

The noise level at this restaurant is unbearable. If you want to have a conversation the only way to do so is to go alone. If you go with more than one person wear ear plugs. We suffered through an unpleasant evening and no matter how good the food could be I would strongly avoid going there. As to the food: my wife enjoyed her steak and the other 3 at the table were not overly impressed and agree it was not worth the money we spent. All in all there are many places to eat steak and have an enjoyable evening. The best part of the evening was leaving the restaurant.

Steak was awesome as well as the sides portions are huge so hope you are hungry. Atmosphere is modern but also has the old school feeling with the pictures on the wall . Place is a must for steak lovers in NYC
