Super yummy food
Just checked out this place after hearing good things and it was super good. had some pumpkin soup and gluten that were really tasty. they guy behind the counter was also really nice. will definitely go back and bring friends. i've also heard that their spicy ginger beer is amazing.

My favorite!
Strictly Roots is the best, amazing vegan rasta food for mad cheap. The guys who work there are friendly, warm, and genuine. The homemade veggie burgers are out of this world. The soups make me feel high on life. The mango and apple cakes are stellar, can't believe they're vegan. I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian but I visit this place every time I'm in the neighborhood. They remember me and ask me how I've been:) Can't beat that.

Simple food but an excellent feeling
I'll just put it this way: when I moved to Brooklyn, I still occasionally made the 90-minute trek back on the 3 train just to eat at Strictly Roots. There's nothing fancy about this place but it just feels so good. It is a very mixed crowd and the people behind the counter are so smile-filled and helpful (you can taste anything you are curious about). I will say this: if you see any baked goods that are in a square shape (like sweetbreads or banana bread, etc.), try them and you will NOT believe they're vegan because they'll be the most delicious & moist "healthy desserts" you've ever had.

My Favorite Lunch Spot
Strictly Roots has become my fav lunch spot for healthy veggie cuisine. The guys that work there are so friendly and warm and always greet you with a smile. You cant go wrong with this place!

Chill and comfortable atmosphere
This a great place to just come and hang out. The walls are filled with fun facts about being a vegetarian. Its a very inviting and casual place to eat. I really enjoy their vegi burgers with fries.
