Excellent meal!
The frisée apple salad was delicious and perfectly dressed- the blue cheese on it was perfect! Nice ambience, really tasty well prepared and thoughtful food! I will definitely return!

A gem near BAM
It's becoming less difficult, despite the recession, to find good places to eat near the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and this is one of the best examples. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is excellent and reasonably priced, and they have a good selection of wines by the glass. You can eat at the wooden bar, which extends at one end into a nice corner spot. They have an outside garden too!

Great food, even better wine selection
I'd heard a lot about this lovely little wine bar, and I wasn't disappointed. This is a very romantic place for a special evening out, especially if you're lucky enough to eat on the outdoor patio. Delicious food, tremendous assortment of fantastic wines I definitely recommend this place. Granted, it isn't cheap, but I thought it was totally worth it and I plan on returning soon.

Consistently worth it
I live nearby and have been eating/drinking at Stonehome since it opened. It is a favorite local restaurant (the other is LouLou) where I know the food will be high quality, the atmosphere relaxing, and the service good.

A Little Too Into Itself....
So I went to have a fabulous meal with my sister-in-laws and was utterly disappointed.... not in the food. but just the overall atmosphere and lack of ambviance. Yes I'm sure it's really romantic for people who don't speak over a decibal level that's comprehendable. Don't get me wrong, the meal was okay, but it was an overwhelming disappointment considering I traveled all the way to the netherlands of Brooklyn to eat a dry peact of chicken. It is what it is right???

nice for wine and cheese
i've been here once - it has a very nice, cozy atmosphere, and a great selection of wine and cheeses. i think i also got desert, which was very good. unfortunately the service could be greatly improved - after we were seated i think it took about 5 minutes to even get a menu, and after we were served we were forgotten. still, go here for the food.

Great food, snotty service.
Title says it all.... The food is delicious (try the chicken, it's amazing) but I was very put off by the service. Twice I went and asked to have my carb side replaced with a veggie-- not unreasonable in these carb-conscious times... But on both occassions the waiters were very snotty and resistant. They ultimately accomodated me but it was annoying. It's also a bit pricey.
