great spot
I have been to Stone Street on different occasions, both for lunch during the busy Wall Street rush and also during dinner. Every time I go there I am pleasently surprised by how good the food is and how warm and attentive the service is. Try the new Babylon Mac n' Cheese! It's amazing. They also have an amazing selection of craft beers that are changed often so you can always try something new.

perfect for everything
I have been there for apetizers and drinks with my frinds . Everything tasted so good that we kept on drinking and ordering more food . The staff was very nice and so made the atmosphere . I will definitly go there again for lunch dinner ,brunch or just drinks.

Food was fine. Service was Nonexistant
We were seated and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. After 20 minutes, a second server came by asking what we had ordered to drink. After 10 minutes another server brought us a menu so we could check out the drinks (that we ordered long ago). After ordering food it was basically the same deal. They wouldnt come by to ask if we were done or wanted more drinks or anything at all. We flagged down a server and let them know we were done. The server went to chat to the bartender instead of printing up our check. She Never. Came. Back. We got up and stood by the register and they still never paid attention. After 20 minutes standing waiting to pay so we could leave a server walks by and asks which table was ours, picks up our already printed bill from a stack of others, gives it to me and walks away never to be seen again. Looking all around us everyone else was having the same issue. Avoid this place.

SERVICE was terrible
I dont know what the food tastes like because our waitress forgot to order it. Waited ages and was told by the kitchen she forgot to put the order in. OK, we all make mistakes, so just apologize, be nice and get it reordered. NO she chose to be rude and unapologetic. At that point we finished our drinks and left. shame, food actually looked pretty good on other peoples tables.

Ok food, LONG wait
Food was good. Had angus steak ravioli, mac & cheese, and apple crumb cake. Mac & cheese was homemade. Apple crumb was really good! Friend said crab cake sandwich was soggy and mash potatos were bland. Super long wait for drinks, over 20 minutes! Asked 3 times for drinks. Did not give top shelf liquor even when asked. Waitress gave free round of drinks for wait.

Mediocre food, poor service
The service at this restaurant is particularly poor. The food quality is slightly below mediocre. It does have a bit of charm, but the place lacks warmth. I guess the place is busy because there arent alot of choices in the financial district. I'd stay away from this one anyway.

Disappointed
I live in the neighborhood and had been wanting to give this place a try. Like the last reviewer, we ordered something that supposedly contained lobster...Lobster Mac-n-Cheese. All 3 of us at the table tried the dish with high expectations but failed to detect a hint of lobster or even lobster flavoring. Our response too was "there a little bits mixed in here and there" although the menu says "topped with fresh lobster meat." I ate about 1/3 of the dish still detected NO lobster! On to the Porcini Dusted Lamb Chops...the chops were good but not sure where the porcini part entered the dish. I substituted the mashed potatoes for the veggies. Not sure how a kitchen can screw up such an easy side...they had absolutely no flavor and I had to keep adding salt and pepper. The last dish of the table was the Maryland Crabcake sandwich served on a brioche (yum) roll. However, it came out on an ordinary sesame burger roll. Although we did get the bread fixed, offered another side for the mashed and a few extra pieces of lobster, the whole experience was ruined. The only consolation was that I was able to use a cheaply purchased Restaurant.com gift certficate. This place may be okay for after-work drinks as it has a good atmosphere and friendly staff but I will never dine there again!
