    Disappointed

I live in the neighborhood and had been wanting to give this place a try. Like the last reviewer, we ordered something that supposedly contained lobster...Lobster Mac-n-Cheese. All 3 of us at the table tried the dish with high expectations but failed to detect a hint of lobster or even lobster flavoring. Our response too was "there a little bits mixed in here and there" although the menu says "topped with fresh lobster meat." I ate about 1/3 of the dish still detected NO lobster! On to the Porcini Dusted Lamb Chops...the chops were good but not sure where the porcini part entered the dish. I substituted the mashed potatoes for the veggies. Not sure how a kitchen can screw up such an easy side...they had absolutely no flavor and I had to keep adding salt and pepper. The last dish of the table was the Maryland Crabcake sandwich served on a brioche (yum) roll. However, it came out on an ordinary sesame burger roll. Although we did get the bread fixed, offered another side for the mashed and a few extra pieces of lobster, the whole experience was ruined. The only consolation was that I was able to use a cheaply purchased Restaurant.com gift certficate. This place may be okay for after-work drinks as it has a good atmosphere and friendly staff but I will never dine there again!

    Stone Street

Don't know what's better on charming street but this isn't it. Lobster Pot Pie had NO lobster, and when pointed out, we got the usual, "The chef says. . ." In this case, said it was chopped up finely. ! Who needs it? Too many great restuarnts NYC.

    great

A fun place after work and a cool place on weekends. Really nice, energetic and good-looking staff...LOL...food is much better than most pubs and I think it's the best place to cobble among the stones - more so than any other place along that stretch of street!

    poor service

Went here with others for a late dinner. There are three burgers on the menu: 8 oz. Grilled Angus Burger, Stone Street Angus Burger (bacon, bbq sauce), and Stone Street Angus Bleu Burger (bleu cheese). I'm not fond of bacon, bbq sauce, or bleu cheese with burgers so I went simple. When asked what I wanted, I clearly said, "Angus burger, medium-well, with cheddar, please." The food arrived quickly. Great. Then the experience just plummeted from there. For starters, the burger was definitely on the dry side. Then, after I ate half of my burger, I realized that I was served the wrong burger: It had bacon AND bbq sauce in it. My assumption was that the mistake was on behalf of the gentleman-not our waitress-that served us and decided that correcting the matter at that point was not worth the extra wait, not to mention the half plate of food that would just wind up in the trash. Our waitress was not very attentive and ultimately served us water by the time most of us already finished our meals, all this after 3 separate requests. Once the check arrived, it was clear the waitress had made the mistake on my order and I pulled her aside to let her know. Instead of just admitting to her mistake, she insisted that I had ordered the Stone Street Angus Burger. I asked her for a menu so I could point out what I ordered. After doing so, she obnoxiously retorted, "Yeah, but you ate this one [pointing to the Stone Street Angus Burger]." I said, "But I didn't order that burger." To my amazement, she said with a smirk, "I think you changed you mind once you saw the check." Completely baffled by her suggestion I said, "Excuse me?!" A few more words were exchanged and then she finally relented and said she'd correct the bill. After a bit of a wait, her manager came out, but she, too, came out with a bad attitude. She said that her waitress claimed our table yelled at her and that as the manager she had to "look out for my girls." In some ways, the manager was worse than the waitress as she did little to squash the matter in a calm and peaceful manner and simply apologize for the mistake. If anything, her presence and attitude only served to elevate the tension as we spent more time arguing with her than with the waitress. We were shocked and amazed that these people felt quibbling over a difference of $3 (yes, $3) was far more important than the satisfaction of their customers, not to mention any possible return visits or recommendations.

    hot waitresses!

A few wednesdays ago i had gone here after work for a few drinks with some co-workers. The crowd is typical wall st. lots of suits! lol the waitresses and bartenders are hot! they were cool and friendly as well. The appetizers we ordered were recommended by our server and were delicous. Overall this place is pretty cool. Kinda place you could go alone for a drink or quick bite and still have a laugh and good time.

    subpar service

I recently ordered brunch from this place. First of all, they need people to take better orders - I needed to repeat myself 5x before the lady could "hear" me. 2) their delivery service is subpar. Delivery person didn't get the street right first, called me 7 times, got the street right and went to 5 different apartment before figuring out what numbers are and finally arriving at my apartment. 3) when the food finally got here, my eggs benedict was cold and soggy and i can't even begin to explain how bland their eggs benedict is! I've had better at awful dive bars after a late night out than here. Save your money and go somewhere else where the service is timely and the food is decent

    Wow

Last Friday, a few co workers & I stopped here after a long day of work for a quick bite to eat and a much needed drink. I was very pleased we decided to give this bar a try. The food was great, the beer was cold and our waitress was friendly andwell spoken. We will definitely be returning.
