Stone Park Cafe

We eat at Stone Park at least once a month. Dinner and brunch are our two favorite meals. Always find something wonderful but obsessed with their greek omelet and their short rib sliders. Simple decor. Great bartenders and sommelier if you want real wine advice. We also used their event space for a 65 person luncheon. People are still talking about the food.

The atmosphere is fitting but everything else lags behind. First off the service is terrible. Second the scallops in squid ink tagliatelle is unbearably salty. Third it just doesn't live up to expectations as one of the best restaurants in park slope. Go to rose water instead.

While enjoying Sunday brunch, my friends and I don't want to hear rap music repeating obscenities at all, much less at a volume that renders conversation impossible. Unpleasant! We were also very disappointed that reservations are NOT taken for brunch (but are for other meals). Our party waited outside in the cold for an hour. Tables could have been pushed together to accommodate us (we saw empty ones), but the rude host preferred to make us wait. The food was fine & our poor waiter was very overworked as he seemed to be the only waiter on the floor. We will not return mainly because of the loud offensive music.

I'm a Park Sloper and a foodie, my husband and I decided to try Stone Park, always heard great things. Won't go back, first the waiter treated us like he was doing us a favor, and it just wasn't worth the $160 dinner for two!! Have had better and at least the staff treats you as if you are welcome! Go to Benchmark!

Had a phenomenal experience here this weekend. Tried their tasting menu w/ wine accompaniment, and it was one of the best tasting menu experience I’ve ever had. Every course was interesting and delicious and the sommelier/maître d' did an excellent job pairing each course with interesting wines. I HIGHLY recommend doing yourself a favor and trying their tasting menu, you will not be disappointed. Thanks for a great anniversary!

Just went to Stone Park Cafe for my birthday dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. The cocktails were delicious and the food was great! I got the pork tenderloin and my fiance got the scallops. Both are highly recommended! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful when I didn't know what to order. The atmosphere is lovely - and the music was very pleasant (we didn't have the same experience as the reviewer below at all). We will definitely be returning soon!

My husband and I go here for brunch often but we usually sit outdoors or in the back. Yesterday we went with friends and we were seated in the front, right near the music speakers. The music was so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation. I asked the head waiter if he could lower the sound a bit and he, with 'attitude' said, "No, we play our music loud. That's the kind of restaurant we are" I didn't ask him to shut the sound, only to lower it. We decided that, even though we like the food, we will not return to, or recommend, Stone Park Cafe anymore.
