    Unstoppable Awesomeness

As someone who has had to be dairy-free and sugar-free for over 25 years, and gluten-free for 6, finding Stogo was like a dream come true. Imagine an Ice Cream Shoppe that I can just go to and order stuff! The staff was awesome and the owner is too. Now they've added "milk" shakes. Seriously, if I could marry a store...

    Awesome!

Some of the best vegan ice cream alternatives in the city!

    Hands down amazing

I've been wanting to try this place and finally got my chance tonight. One scoop of red velvet cake ice cream and one of bananas fosters? Need I say more? Run!

    pretty good

I read so many good reviews that I was disappointed by Stogo's ice cream. It was good, but not the best vegan ice cream. I tried 4 flavors and wasn't excited about any of them. Finally decided on the mint choc chip, and it was okay. The texture is icy and it melts fast. I was also disappointed that they only use disposable plastic cups. I'd much rather have a cone and no trash. Or at least offer reusable dishes or to people who eat in the store or disposable paper. The place was bopping and it was cool to see how popular vegan ice cream is. Lula's ice cream is creamier and better tasting and much nicer service in my opinion.

    So GOOD

My friend told me about this place. The ice cream was sooo good I didn't even notice that it was vegan. We got the salted pecan something... haha can't remember. I crave this stuff now and I'm not a "sweets" person

    Mainstream Vegan Ice Cream

I am a die-hard Lula's fan, but I did want to give Stogo a try. I was pleasantly suprised by the ice cream: the toasted coconut almond joy was divine. The server was pleasant and cheerful, but the guy hanging around (owner?) was aloof & disinterested. Again, the ice cream was very good but the whole vibe of the place seems to be: "Look how hip we are serving vegan ice cream; don't you want to eat here like Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgewick?" (photo near the front door). Contrarily, at Lula's the owner treats you with warmth, kindness, and a million acts of special attention that lets you know that it's a labor of love. Lula's is definitely the shoppe to go for the very best homemade sundae/cone/shake/float/egg cream served with class and pizazz. Stogo is more of a mainstream cup of ice cream that is made in a factory in Long Island and shipped to a store owned by non-vegans. But, there is room in the LES for both.
