Stir Cafe

On the basis of the web menu we went here for brunch last week and were very disappointed to find that the "from the griddle" and "signature breakfasts" don't exist - it's just a basic bacon/eggs/ sausage patty / french toast bar with no fancy stuff at all. Staff were offhand when we ordered food and service was pretty unfriendly generally ( this was a sunday so maybe the weekday staff are better). We both needed the restroom, and were waved vaguely towards the first floor. on getting there it turned out that a key was needed, and they'd not given it to us. Motivating them to track down the key was next to impossible, although we eventually managed it. Overall, disappointing and wouldn't go back.

There are a lot of places like this in the wall street area. They even have the same sort of layout. But I really like the salad bar here. They make really good salads you can get in a small or larger size. The large salads will run you about $7-8 but they are very filling and tasty.

I have been ordering from this place for a while because I appreciated that they serve breakfast all day, are cheaper than other neighborhood places, and are always open. Also, they are less than 1 block away from my work. However, I just ordered some food on a very slow holiday weekend late afternoon and the preparation and delivery was so sloppy as to be contemptuous. There is no excuse for dropping a warm wrap sandwich into the bag upside down so that all the fillings leak out during the brief time it took to get here. Also the turkey bacon was barely cooked. I will not be ordering again.

My job is a couple of blocks away from Stir Cafe, so I go there often. They have a good selection of stuff, something for every mood. My favorite is the Pasta Bar. Alot of ingredients to choose from, many different types of pasta, and it is made fresh right in front of you. And then a piece of Banana-Rama-Liscious cake for dessert! Can't beat it.

Excellent food, Fabulous service! I am so sad I am moving to NJ. I will miss this restaurant and the people! Delivery is sooooo fast and they never get your order wrong! Love the specials (baked chicken) and Love the buffalo chicken wrap. you can substitute ingredients and they don't mind. they're very nice!

Stir Cafe is the perfect place to get your everything! I literally go here 3 times a day since I live and work near by. Their coffee is superb, as is their breakfast eggs.. Pasta is delish, and really everything on their menu is great. They recently rennovated the place and it looks beautiful! Thanks guys for feeding me :)

The breakfast and coffee is very expensive and they play the music too loud.
