Authenitic brooklyn pizza in chelsea
I discovered Stella's last summer after leaving the Maritime at like 2AM. I've been ordering from there ever since. Unless you want brick oven, this is the best regular NY style pizza in Chelsea for sure, like what I grew up with in Bay Ridge. Very cheesey, great sauce with a lot of basil leaf and crispy crunchy crust. Sometimes I stop in for a slice but this place is tiny and there's only a few stools. They use sort of high end stuff like fennel sausage, gaeta oives, and rome tomatoes... canned mushrooms though (which I prefer on pizza!). Nice behind the counter too. Plus they have these coupons for like $4 off on delivery. I love this place.

unrecognized gem
i've tried most of the delivery pizza places in my area and none come close to this except for maybe mezza luna on 8th and 15th. this is great, new york pizza; not froofy thin crust with fresh mozz and tomato and basil. As much as I like that sometimes, other times i want gooey, fattening pizza, and this is the place.

Pleasantly Surprising Stella Pizza
I've passed by Stella's Pizza many times. It looked like the usual dive pizzeria that you see all over NYC. I.e., overpriced, now $2.25, crappy pizza. Not wanting to get ripped-off for more than $2.25. I ordered one regular slice. It looked like any other pizza. But I was pleasantly surprised by what I tasted. I was on the street, walking away. But by the time I had finished half of my slice. I did a 180 and quickly rushed back to Stella's to order a regular w/ onions and peppers and fresh crushed garlic. Currently, my favorite pizza. It was good, not great. Substantially better than the pizza I've ordered from the other pizzerias in that neighborhood. Definitely, I will be making regular visits to Stella's. To satisfy my pizza cravings. Also, when I was there, for my first time, the tiny pizzeria was filled with its regular customers. A good sign.

dont listen to the rest ...
i really think the slices in this place are under-rated. ive ate at many different places and this pizza spot has a damn good slice. there sausage slice is really good as well as well. the service is good, friendly guys and the prices are average nyc pizzarias. top 10 slices in my book.
