I do not understand the complaints about this place. The bartender knows my name and is always glad to see me. The service is very pleasant and the food is very good.

My companion and I had a wonderful dinner at Stella Maris recently. The waiter who served us could not have been more accommodating: attentive, affable, informative, and with excellent suggestions. But the food was what made the evening special. My fish and his pork tenderloin were both perfectly prepared, subtly seasoned, with well chosen garnishes, and the desserts were to die for. All in all, one of the best values we've found in the FiDi.

I am very pleased with the comeback of stella Maris, after the renovation the place looks super hip and the food is some of the best in the area,If you are in the mood for fish do not think twice.

we went here for brunch today and it was so good. The french toast was amazing and all the ingrediants are good quality. The service was also realy good and the plating was beautiful. There was the begginings of a pearl in my oyster but i forgive them...

Went to Stella Maris, had a great time. We had oysters to start which were the best I have had in the city, very fresh and were wonderful. We ordered another dozen. The food was perfect ,especially for the price. Server was very friendly and attentive to us, and had a lot of knowledge on wine, and explained all the daily wines. The location is beautiful, the entire street . We had a great time there and would defiantly go back.

Some co-workers and myself went here for lunch today and had a subpar experience. We've been here before for lunch and experienced an extremely long wait time and today was no exception. After ordering, our waiter had to come back several times to clarify our orders and then we waited over 20 minutes for a vegetable sandwhich and 3 burgers. When the food finally arrived, the burgers were completely rare in the middle. One was sent back and even after waiting another 5 minutes for it to be cooked, it was still rare. We complained to our waiter, who I believe is also the manager, and still nothing was taken off of the bill. Dinner service might be different, but for the prices we should have been able to get a burger cooked the way we asked for it. I'll never go here for lunch again.

We got here around 7:30 on a Wednesday night. There were only two other parties eating, and it took forever to get the food, about a half hour. The chicken tasted like wood. Big thick pieces where most of the chicken has very little flavor. I guess the chef has never heard of surface area. It was also a strange cut. I didn't even feel like I was eating chicken. The mashed potatos tasted like baby food. The steak frites was raw and bloody ( ordered it cooked medium ) and very small portion. Our waitress also kept making sarcastic remarks. This place is overpriced, empty, and the food is not good. There are much better places in the near vicinity.
