Came with our 2 year old right after seeing Santa. This is not my first time at this restaurant. The waiter was adorable, kind to our 2 year old who only wanted to play with the olive oil and her water glass (which she eventually broke). Explaining that he had 4 younger female siblings, he was extremely helpful and kind with our little one. We wanted to order quickly and he agreed. The food was delicious-eggplant parm was unusual. Service was excellent. Love the liveliness of the restaurant-perfect place to forget that you are actually in Macy*s-totally away from the hustle and bustle. This is a lovely restaurant and a nice surprise considering that you are in probably one of the biggest department stores in the world. I highly recommend.

While shopping at Macy's the other night and not having had lunch, I decided to stop into Stella's for dinner, and my stomach is still not forgiving me for it. First of all, it was early, around 5:45 p.m., and the restaurant was still nearly emptly. After playing with the computer for about five minutes after I approach the front desk "looking for a table", the hostess finally led me to a table which seemed a long walk away (the restaurant is very long) while passing empty table after empty table. Not so bad, but I was seating right next to, and I literally mean about a foot away, another table with two partons. Table all around me were empty and at first I should have asked to me moved, but I did not. As I sat uncomfotably near the occupied table next to me, the service was slow and pre-occupied. I had to ask for sweetner for my iced tea three times and more water (as you will soon see why). The food it was nearly inedible because it was so hot and spicy. Thinking perhaps it was just me or maybe just the specific dish I ordered, I became convinced it was neither because the peson at the table next to me (did I say I was less than a foot away?) sent her dish back, claiming "it was just too spicy for her to eat." Being hungry, I did not send mine back. Besides, the size of the portion was small enough that I would have been done soon anyhow. I will never return to this restaurant and I really can't see what all the fuss is about. Fire Engine Company No. 2, be on guard for stomachs on fire!

Been there 4 times and never disappointed. Love the openness and even had a good time at the counter for lunch one time. Price is a bit more but worth it when you're tired from shopping and don't want to think about where to go to eat. Worth the convenience.
