Oh Hell Yes
Popped in for a quick drink, ended up spending the whole evening there. Had killer cocktails in classic coup glasses, the proper way to enjoy true handcrafted cocktails. Had Bruschetta and crabcakes for apps at the bar, then moved to a table. Did a cheese plate, and next thing you know, pork chops with hot cherry peppers and Pan seared Branzino, which many attempt but these guys nailed it. Heard a woman next to me say, "Someone in the kitchen really knows what their doing," and second that. There was a big birthday party that had reserved half the back restaurant and the manager comped them all a shot (that's like 20 shots!). Its the kind of place that can be a real regular place, but also has a good bar crowd (at least they did this Wednesday). Will definitely come back.

Lost a regular customer
We have been there maybe four or five times since it has opened. So We go there on a recent weekend somewhat later in the evening. Its not that crowded. The hostess brings us to the back and we notice that 3 of the 5 booths are empty (including numerous smaller table). As this is nyc and I am used to being crunched in, i prefer to have a little space when feasible and a booth fits the bill. So I asked the hostess if my dining partner and i might be able to sit at the booths as we have been here a number of times (i.e. I AM A REGULAR) and have sat there before. She indicated they were all reserved and she could not seat us there and preceded to put us in some cramped seating on the opposite wall on top of another party. As I sat there for the next 1.5 hours, there were never more than 2 of the 5 booths used. Reason number 2 for not coming back- I paid 15 dollars for lobster ravioli- i was given 5 raviolis - basically an appetizer portion and lastly reason number 3 for not coming back- we inquired if the bar carries a certain brand of alcohol, the waitress said she would check with the bartender and get back to us...she never did. btw, the food is pretty good but not exceptional...

great food
I went here with my boyfriend because we live nearby. I have to say that I dont know anyone that has ever been here so my expectations were low. But the food was amazing. Everything we had, including even the bread, was perfect. I highly recommend the duck.

Tried but was let down
Sorely disappointed. When in last month food was fresh, good quality unfortunatley service was terrible and sparse. They didnt have their act together. Gave it another shot, seems they now have two feet in the grave instead of just one. Food was horrible cold, bland and service was worse. too bad

Great game hen
The ambiance in here is great. We had the fingerling homefries which were delicious as well as the fried oysters. The calamari in ink sauce was interesting, it wasn't bad and wasn't spectacular. The cocktails were a bit small for the price but were definitely packed with alcohol. My favorite would have to be the applejack rabbit although the corpse reviver was also good. The corpse reviver tastes like licorice. I wasn't a big fan of the perfect pear because it really didn't taste much like pear. My boyfriend had the steak and asked for steak sauce which they don't carry outside steak sauce such as A1 as it would be insulting to the chef. I had the game hen which was fabulous in every way, even the broccoli and spinach were good and I'm not a fan of spinach. We had the dessert trio which we split and which wasn't bad for 7.50 Overall I say it's definitely somewhere worth checking out

Nice new place
Checked this place out last night and had a good experience. They had their whole front window open so it was nice to sit at a table in the front with good weather. Cocktails were small so we found them a little overpriced, but then the manager comped us a round which was cool! And the food is not expensive either. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive and helped us decide what to get as their menu has a lot of stuff. Nice that they'll do half-portions of things so you can try different things. Food was awesome, good solid pastas and a mussels dish that we'll get again. They weren't very full though and you could tell they were anxious to bring in a bigger crowd. We'll be back for sure to try more of the menu. Would definitely recommend to people looking for a good casual date spot.

Excellent Homemade Italian!
The drinks were great! Made with a mixologist’s touch. The food, a nice mix of "hearty" Italian meals. The staff attentive and friendly. The decor of the restaurant is warm and cozy; you wouldn’t think you are in Hell’s Kitchen area. I had the Risotto Arancini with prosciutto cotto & tomato confit. Warm friend balls filled with risotto and bits of prosciutto with marinara sauce on the side. For my entrée I had Faicco’s Pork Braciola with house made marinara. The best I have ever had! It will be hard to go back and try something else, because there were so many other things I wanted to try. When we arrived around 7p the restaurant was empty but by the time we were almost done every table was full. Great dinner!
