We went there to have a bit before going to a concert in MSG.Food is super expensive..waiters were slow,forgot about half of our order!When I asked the waiter what does the chillean bass come with he said potatoes and string beans..yeah..4 thin slices of tiny potatoes &4pieces of string beans..you must be kidding..we left there $110 for 2 entrees &1side.Will never go back there again!

Ended up here on a fluke. Was looking for the steakhouse under the garden which was closed for construction. Saw this & figured, eh - we'll try it. So glad I did. Awesome hostess and wait staff. The other staff are true professionals and gems and know their stuff, and are entertaining to boot. Food was awesome and fresh and prepared with care. Bartender gets immediate Kudos for having simple syrup & Agave behind the bar to make proper drinks that were indeed perfect. I now have a new favorite steakhouse! G0 try it - u won't be sorry!

We checked out Statler's last night, Dec 22, 2010. Initial impressions upon entrance were favorable (busy, lots of people). Lamb chops and oysters appetizers were excellents. Porterhouse, ordered medium rare, came medium to medium well done. Creamed spinach was on a creamy side though mashed potatoes were of perfect consistency. Service was ok. One curious part was that by 8.30, the place was half empty. Will not go back there again.

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise..we just moved our offices and now go once or twice a week, whether you order a lot or a little, the service is beyond courteous, the crab salad is to DIE for. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicous! Great wine list as well. Make it a point to go there.
