I am new to the New York area, but I travel around quite a bit. It was a refreshing surprise to find such a wholesome restaurant with such a diverse variety of food AND very reasonable prices. After having some interesting experiences with drinks (never assume refills are free in this city) that ended up costing $8 for Ice Tea, it was quite pleasant to get free refills - something that I had always taken for granted. The service was very friendly, and the food was magnificent! Good size portions (for me, that says a LOT), and very down to earth prices. I stopped in about 6PM and surprised that the lunch or dinner menu were both available. Both had a real nice selection to choose from- Chicken teriyaki, pasta, sandwiches and burgers, and for me, the holy grail- Gyros Platter. In short, the best meal I had for about half the price. Located right at the corner of 4th and Union and a short walk from the Fairfield Inn on 3rd Ave Brooklyn.

We just moved down to 4th Ave from 8th Ave and this place has become a regular hangout. Decent food for the price. Friendly staff. This kids are always asking to come back. A little something for everyone on the menu. Can't go wrong for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My wife isn't quite as enthusiastic - it's definitely not fine dining - but it does the job if you're looking for a good meal with none of the frills.

This place knows what it is and prioritizes the right things. The food isn't bad for a diner and the service is good and friendly.
