family christmas outting
Went to St . Andrews on Dec 3, 2011 with twelve of my family members. We had the best time at this restaurant. The food and staff were excellent. We would go back to this restaurant anytime. Thank you for making our dinner so nice and special. Also the prices were very reasonable.

Pleasantly suprised
We go to the theater often and are shocked at the paucity of other than medicore restaurants in the area. St. Andrews was a pleasant surprise. my smoked salmon appetizer was terrific. My wife had both the crabcake and the creme brulee and said they were among the best she's had. I will return.

Like Going Home
We've been going to St. Andrews since it's previous incarnation on 44th St. (Laura was just a kilted server back then!). The food has always been excellent and the service uniformly extroadinary. Though only a few yards from Times Square, it's easy to forget where you are - the friendly atmosphere would be welcome in anyone's home town! After scores of visits over the years, we've never had a meal that was anything but delightful in every respect.

Flawless.
My sister and I took our mother here for a pre-theatre lunch...we made a noon reservation, were given an excellent table on the 2nd floor (open air dining due to large picture window - lovely). Our server was extremely obliging and friendly (I feel like a total jerk for neglecting to remember her name). Food was fantastic - highly recommend the tuna salad and the sticky toffee pudding! We were never rushed, were given time in between drinks, lunch and desert. I know there are plenty of restaurants in the theatre district, but I will find it nearly impossible not to choose St. Andrew's every time!

Best value
I recently spend a great night in the St Andrews. Although I would like to mention that the St Andrews is not a typical Steak Restaurant, you will find perfect grilled steaks there as well as excellent fish dishes. The wine menu for 50$ is a bargain compared to other manhattan restaurants and the wines are of good quality. The bar serves a great range of whiskys. Nice service staff. Overall a great place you should check out!!!

Inedible Steaks
I am usually wary of Times Square restaurants but tried St. Andrews because of the good reviews here. I was very disappointed. We were there for dinner on 5/20 and decided to have the daily special – Porterhouse with wine reduction which came with mashed potatoes and collards. The steak was completely inedible as it was all gristle, sinews, and, fat plus it was really tough. Not only were the steaks poor cuts of meat but they were poorly cooked too. We ordered medium and medium-rare but there was no difference that we could see. The sauce looked like gravy rather than a reduction. Potatoes and collards were fine, but expensive given that we paid $29 for the entrée and could only eat the vegetables.

Hidden Gem Of A Restaurant!
I have visited this restaurant many times and the food and service is always outstanding! The baby back ribs are excellent as is their steak. You can expect large portions at a very reasonable price, especially for New York City. Bar drinks are also of a nice size and a fair price. They have remodeled it since my last visit so I do not know how much has changed. All I know it was excellent all the times I have been there.
