    Not recommended

I had dinner here with some friends last night, it was disappointing. Starting with beef patties. Then for dinner I had the curried chicken, it had a sour taste like they should throw it away 2 days ago. I sent it back, got the brown stewed chicken. Just as disappointing. It had a thick sweet coating in a brown sauce, like general tso chicken. My friends dinner was disappointing too. If you want Jamaican food do yourself a favor go to Church Ave in Brooklyn. It's a hike but you will get great food!

    Hidden Gem

You don't realize that this place is a restaurant and I had walked my dog by many times. Til one day my husband brought me here. I didn't realize this was the place he had been visiting for dinner while I was gone. He is british and has a lot of friends from Jamaica. His favorite dish is the Oxtail. I don't eat meat but it looked very yummy. I had the fish and the codfish appetizer on coco bread. Everything was delicious. You might think it's just a bar, but they serve food. I was worried it wasn't going to be fresh, but it was really awesome. I'm kind of negative when it comes to restaurants and for the first time in a while I was proved wrong. You can also take take away if you aren't into the bar scene. But it's not even a scene, it's just small inside but very, very clean.

    Pretty alright Tuesday night dinner

My friend and I came here for a Tuesday night dinner. We ordered the vegetable dumplings, pretty good. My friend got the jerk chicken and it was juicy, moist and pretty flavorful not too spicy. I got the whole fried snapper and it was pretty good, just wish they could debone the fish because I was pulling out bones from my mouth the whole time. The vegetables and onions the fish dish came with were very spicy but added flavor and taste to the fish. Our favorite part of the meal: spicy truffle fries.SOOO good, you could taste the truffle flavor and then at the end, the zing of spice would hit you YUM! Definitely would recommend the spicy truffle fries but wouldn’t make a trip down to the LES just to go to this restaurant but if in the neighborhood, would come back. A very relaxed and mellow vibe and they have a DJ!
