Barely natural - Less than 3 % Organic

I've dined at Spring Street Natural quite a few times. Their food is okay/ average - compared to all the garbage that's being served in the neighborhood already. The manager and staff say that they only serve all natural/ organic foods. I beg to differ. The foods they are serving are loaded with pesticides, preservatives. and additives. What really bothers me about this place is that many of their menu options describe a course containing only one or two organic ingredients in the meal, and the rest are just ordinary... That completely defeats the purpose of organic! Example 1: Spring Street Natural Taco Salad red onions, guacamole, sour cream, queso fresco, organic black beans and salsa over organic brown rice; served with tri-color corn chips (The only thing organic in this salad are the beans and rice, which are probably cooked with low grade filtered water that contains chlorine, medical waste, and fluoride). Everything is in this salad most likely contains GMO's, artificial additives, hormone in the sour cream, pesticides and toxins in the produce. example 1: South Western Grilled Organic Chicken Salad organic field greens, sun dried cranberries, roasted corn, toasted almonds and crumbled gorgonzola; tossed with orange-mirin vinaigrette ... The only thing that's organic in this salad are the field greens. The chicken is just free range. Not grass fed. Prob corn & soy fed. Again, this place is NOT %100 natural. Just keep that in mind. Everything in my review is just my opinion, nothing is factual. Cheers!

    worst food ever

This place has gone downhill. There just doesnt seem to be any care in the food prep. I ordered the stir fried vegetables with seafood and it was one of the worst meals of my life. Everything way overcooked and swimming in a bath of soy sauce. Not worth half of the 20 dollars I paid for it. I won't be back.

This place has something for everyone!

I normally do not eat seafood but while at Spring Street Natural with my mother, I decided to give it a try. Their menu is expansive and caters to vegetarians, healthy eaters, and omnivores such as myself. We decided to order the Seafood Risotto, the Mediterranean Vegetable Antipasto, and the Calamari. The Seafood Risotto was amazing. It had huge pieces of shrimp, scallops, mussels, and more. All of this for only $10! The Antipasto was a combination of roasted beets, hummus, marinated olives, pepperoncini, Sicilian eggplant caponata, toasted pita. We have never had pepperoncini and were surprised at how sweet it was. The calamari stood out because it’s a dish that my mother had had numerous times before, but she thought this was the best. It had huge pieces of lightly fried squid that had a golden crunch to them. Service was great, the food was terrific, and the price was right. Overall, we had a great experience and I think I might finally enjoy seafood :)

    Smiles all around!

As a vegan with 'omnivore' friends, this is a GREAT spot for everyone. There are lovely, complex dishes made for every palate and it was a perfect experience for a great price. I'll be telling friends! Thanks!

    Brunch delight!

Every time we go there, food is good at reasonable price. Service is excellent! Each time we try a different dish, they never disappoint. Most important, they have nice size booths. As a native New Yorker, we love Soho. You don't have to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a table like the famous B in Soho on Spring street, and not as over priced!

    Very good experience

Well... I actually had very good experiences and the staff was always super nice and friendly. I went there several time for brunch and always had a good experience. Worth mentioning: My friends were late but the waiter offered me to sit as soon as a table opened although the restaurant was packed. Once, I came with my bike; the waitress was concerned it would get stolen that she arranged the tables outside so that I can park it close to the window and keep an eye on it. I guess it shows something about them caring for their clients. Great choice, decent quality and fair pricing. The menu is not very original and the food is not exceptional but you can always find something you like whether you're a vegan, a meat lover, on a diet or packing calories for your marathon. The location is great and when it's sunny enough you can eat outside. Love it. Will keep going there.

    Poor delivery & food

I should have steered clear of the place when the person answering the phone was surly and acted as if he was doing me a favor. Food came ice cold and doused in the ice coffee i had ordered. It looked liked they just threw all the components of my lunch in to the take out box--kicked the box across the room--gave it a good shake--and then put it in the bag for delivery. my burger was like a lead brick but i was starving and ate it anyway.
