    Everything outstanding

I'd read moderate reviews of this restaurant, which is in my neighborhood, and so was a little dubious, but decided to go ahead and get the groupon anyway. I am soooo glad I did. Everything about our dinner was outstanding. An interesting venue, in the lobby of the Lipstick Building, but attractive and not too loud, with tables nicely spaced. Service was outstanding, classy & friendly, and with none of the snottiness that occasionally accompanies a groupon. But the high point is the food, and would probably take the prize for one of my top five meals of the year. The linguine with lobster & mushrooms was incredible, and everything was delicious. Even had we paid full price, I’d find it worth it (for a splurge), and will definitely be back.

    disappointed

Went with a groupon. Starters were good, although they certainly wouldn't fill you up. Main dish was disappointing. My steak, ordered pink, was well done. I showed the waiter but I really didn't want to start sending it back. As I was eating eat realized I should have-it had a "potted" taste and not a grilled taste. Was it reheated? Don't know, but small and not good. My husbands "jumbo" crab cake was anything but jumbo! Prices are high-portions small and not good. Dessert, apple cobbler, was okay-a bit overbaked, but good. Overall, okay for what we paid, but not at all for the menu prices!

    Disappointed

Sprig is in my neighborhood and I was looking forward to try it. Having looked at the menu beforehand, I expected it would be good considering the prices. The $17 burger, club sandwich or portabello mushroom sandwich seemed quite high considering the lack of notoriety of the place and the office building atrium environment (no matter how glammed up). I decided to try the chicken which is one of my favorite comfort foods and I was looking to get comfortable. Unfortunately, the moist chicken I was expecting was delivered dry and almost tasteless and proved a very mediocre choice. My husband had the sea bass which was delicious, so at least one of the two choices was good (at $28 it should be good).

    Best Midtown Burger!

I came to Sprig for a Bussiness lunch and a casual dinner on Friday. I fully enjoyed myself both times! Sprig is very old New York. The space is fantastic, elliptical bar, floor to cieling windows take provide a Manhattan view. I love the jazz they play here! Frank Sinatra is my absolute favorite. Sprig had quick service for my bussiness lunch, I was pleased with the entree size salads. The Jamon salad is Yummy! the Napa Burger RIVALS P.J. Clarkes. For dinner I choose to sit in the outside cafe. Amazing time spent with friends people watching. I really enjoyed their Friday night special.. ALL BOTTLE WINE IS HALF OFF! The Lobster & Mushroom Pasta was divine. Great spot, great food, and a good time had! Will be back!

    Average at Best

This restaurant is in the lobby of the Lipstick Building, and it feels like it. Went for resto week. Service was very slow, and food was average at best. Appetizers (lamb meatballs + tuna carpaccio) started strong, the mains less so (whole wheat pasta and chicken salad). Could use more flavour and the presentation was poor. Wasnt sure if service and food was off for restaurant week or is always like this. Regardless, I wont be back.

I love this place and have to say the short ribs are the best! We will be back soon!

    disappointing experience

The food is mediocre at best even though the menu is a bit misleading. I requested to be moved away from the window table which was cold since this is in the lobby of an office bldg. The waiter refused to let us change tables. I don't think we will be going back again. However the dessert that we ordered was pretty good Pumpkin creme brulee.
