Spigolo is so intimate and the service and food is out of this world that it is defintely worth the wait! The gnocchi, shaved celery salad, and veal were the perfect meal. Definitely do the three courses! They also have a tasting menu that I am going to try next time. The chef picks the menu for you based in your likes, dislikes, and allergies. My friends chose to do it the last time they dined there and they said it was out of this world!! And the desserts and so incredible...made by the hostess/owner/ wife of the chef. I love my new favorite restaurant!

I thought the food was excellent. Indeed not your typical Italian restaurant, the food is more sophisticated. The fish was excellent, as was the dessert. Only the wait was too long (1 hr despite a reservation). I'll be back.

The Upper East Side is lucky to have a delicious new Italian restaurant ... with creative innovative food that works and an affordable wine list. Spigolo only has 9 tables, but the food and service is a 10! The place is small but the tables are well spaced and the service is obliging without being overwhelming. Ask your waiter for recommendations and they will gladly tell you their favorite dishes and help with wine selections from the reasonably priced list. The first two dinners were so good that we are looking forward to our third meal! Reservations a must!

Off the bat the place was extremely too small - it felt as if 30 people were squeezed into a sardine can, it was extremely loud with everyone talking over each other, and for some reason me and my wife were annoyed by the music which seemed to be louder then everyone else. Once I was able to get a table nearly an hour after my reservation the server came to the table before I can even sit down and get situtated he started to tell me the special for the day. Not only did I have to wait an hour to be seated, but I felt as if we were being rushed to get out on their fault of over booking. Other than that the food was somewhat good it's not your typical Italian restaurant.
